St Thomas - Pirate Ship Shore Excursion - January 15, 2013
It was my intention to book the catamaran sail and snorkel we took on our prior two visits to ST - but somehow, probably a by-product of multi-tasking, we ended up on a sail that could be a pirate ship OR a catamaran. The very pleasant tour rep assured me we would have fun, so I rolled with it....
On the pirate ship, leaving harbor  Our first snorkel opportunity - I chose this picture because I liked the stars reflecting off the water, even if the faces are dark  Snorkeling back to our ship  I learn the hard way that pirate ships roll differently than catamarans, even at anchor - and that saving my camera comes at the cost of my body - straight down, so fast, that my left knee (elbow, chin and right hand - ouch) just shed the last of skin-level evidence yesterday, one month later!  Pirate Sails  Sister Ship  Pirate "Tatoos"  Passing ships and boats in the harbor   .

 Harbor where we had lunch   Beach  Collecting shells and glass  Playing volleyball  Moment of reflection  Returning to harbor  Watching them, watching us ...  Fantasy, docked at the end of the "street"  ... back on the verandah, father and son portrait  .

Snorkeling
They took us to a cove where they knew we would be able to see turtles
   Turtles      .

Tour Guide will take your camera to the bottom, if you want
 Parrot Fish      Jumping off the ship  Enjoying the day  Observing the Carnival ship testing all its lifeboats...  Returning to the ship  .
