I'm obsessed with Animator's Palate! Love all of your great photos from the restaurant. And, good to know that they can scare up some creme brulee. It's my favorite too.

Wow, the table setting at Animator's is so cute!! And love the restaurant decor as well. And the food looks pretty great too. Looks like it was a super fun night. Bet you slept well!
The food was really good, however....it's not as good as some of the signature restaurants at the World.

As far as our trips go....well, no 'big' WDW trip in 2013. We're going to Cancun this summer, but I'm hoping to sneak in a long weekend to Disney Our next 'big' WDW trip will be the following summer. Going to finally try a villa. We're hoping to do BWV or BCV...maybe a split stay. We've never stayed at the EP resorts, so this will be something new for us. Can't wait to actually start planning the trip!!!

Well....in 1 week, you'll be at the World having the time of your life!! Are you getting things packed up???

Are you going back soon?
Not going back any time soon...our big 2013 trip will be to Cancun. I'm hoping to snag a Disney weekend trip, though We are definitely planning a long 2014 WDW trip. Going to do a villa this go round...hopefully BWV or BCV.....gonna be an EP resort. Can't wait to try BOG!!! You know the new Fantasy Land will be awesome. You'll have to post some pics of your visit!! It was really cool seeing Belle's castle being built.

Thanks for the appetizer info I thought it looked like one, but ya never know. I did ask for creme brulee the next night at dinner (Enchanted Garden...I think), but no luck Not sure why we couldn't get it...oh well.

Enchanted Garden was my least favorite of the 3, but I still liked it. Animator's Palate was the kid's favorite....and maybe mine, too.

I've finally embarked on the SS hstrickland. I was grounded while on our two week WDW vacation last month - but I'm so happy to be cruising with you now.

I'm all caught-up: AKL final review - check. Embarkation Day - check. Kid's Clubs - check. Stateroom photos - check. Animator's Palate - check. LOVED IT ALL!!!

Can I take off my life preserver now?

Ahhh - love that treat-you-like-a-queen DCL service. So amazing and what a vacation should be!

Loved the pics of the Dream's Animator's. Very different from the Wonder. I can't wait to check out the Fantasy's next year.

All the food looked great, and the kids looked like they were having a great time despite the late hour.

Stephen is in 6th grade now, too. And yep...LOTS of work. Thanks goodness he's at my school so I can keep an eye on him This year we are super busy with after school activities. Bill and I just had a conversation about all that's going on. Something must go!! Our calendar in the kitchen literally had 2 days this month that were blank...nothing going on.

Nope....don't take it off, yet. You might be able to remove it by Christmas

I'm guessing Animator's is the same on the Fantasy. And yes....looks very different than the Wonder. Willow will love the interactive screens with Crush. JMO, but I would ask for a table that is closer to the screens. Some tables were kind of in the middle of the dining room.

Cabanas for Breakfast

Day 6
Cabanas for Breakfast

Rise and shine! At 8:30am the ship’s doors will open for Castaway Cay, so we had to get an early start with breakfast at Cabanas. Have you ever known me to be late for anything Disney??!

Everywhere you turn, you’ll notice the explicit details that Disney incorporates into the scenery. Each restaurant has its own décor, yet it blends with the entire ship.

The picture really doesn’t do this justice….the Imagineers went overboard (no pun intended) when they designed the Dream.

Notice the absence of people….remember, I said early

Cabanas will get fairly crowded if you wait until 8:30ish or after to eat. And the tables by the windows will be gone for sure.

The food is really, really good….LOTS to choose from…both hot and cold items

The wait staff was of course unbelievably friendly and very attentive to the children. They even made them kids hats out of napkins.

One of the guys made Faith a bird in a nest….too cute. She thought it was precious....until Jesse destroyed it! Imagine that....

Notice the bleak weather outside! No worries, though…..Castaway Cay, here we come!

On the way back to the room, we spotted a couple of decorated stateroom doors….I'm not the only Disney Dork onboard

Up next….Castaway Cay
