I love Dinosaur too! After reading a number of trip reports, I think you and I are some of the few people that do!
Animal Kingdom is our most favorite park! I loved your parade pictures from Yak and Yeti. How lovely to sit in the air conditioning with food and drink while watching the parade! |

Do I remember correctly that AK is your least favorite park? That AK day sounds really fun! Did it improve your opinion on AK at all?
How old was Andrew when he ditched the stroller? I think Carter's about there, but I can't figure out how to switch to a single stroller without Landon feeling...singled out. Does Blake ever feel bad about being the only stroller kid? CSR at night is so beautiful! Sounds like a great ending to the day! |

I am with Blake too! I love the Lion King Show. A couple of trips we actually saw it twice. didn't make it when we were there this year. DNiece wanted to go back to the resort and swim because it was too hot. All we managed at AK was the Safari and lunch. She just wanted to swim that day.

Those YES programs do sound like so much fun, especially that one! We considered doing one this summer, but I guess I forgot to really look into it. I bet he'll have a great time! Have fun with your younger grandson. The boneyard seems to be a big hit with most little ones, but we usually skip that, too. We're probably missing out on so much here! Quote:
I guess I see why people don't like it, but it's so much fun! I laugh the entire time!Catching the parade at Yak & Yeti is probably one of my favorite things about this park. Love when that happens! Quote:
We kept the double until Andrew was a few months beyond his 4th birthday. He'd been walking along side it for some time, and was pretty much done with strollers at home when Blake was born though. (2) He probably would've been okay to walk earlier, but those crowds make me nervous. I felt safer having it around. The same thing is going on with Blake right now. We usually park it and walk, but I like having it for his safety and storage. Only you'll know for him! We've never had any issues with Blake being the stroller boy that I can remember, but he was doing it at home since birth. I could see that being more of an issue with how close in age your boys are. Did you see that Sharky & Bones are coming to DTD? I know your boys love Jake! I might be more excited about this than Blake right now. Hope we make it to see them! Quote:
We really need to see this one a little more, I guess. He loves playing the music at home! Quote:
Doesn't AK seem twice as hot as anywhere else at WDW?? I think that hurts it for us sometimes! And now I really want to see FOTLK again! That show is a lot of fun. We need to plan an AK day. |

I'm back!!!!!!
Nice updates, looks like a fun day at Animal Kingdom!!! What a great view you had a Yak & Yeti! The perfect spot to watch the parade! It figures that you would get soaked on "Kelly's" River Rapids...it seems the one who wants to stay dry always does!!!!!!! Its too bad the photopass person had to rush you so much at the Pooh characters. From the sound of it, it isn't like there was a huge crowd trying to get in to see them!! Sounds like a nice, relaxing night at the resort. We definitely developed a love for resort relaxation on this trip!

Sharky & Bones!!
How about another "sneak peek" into the future of this TR?? I'm too excited over yesterday!!
We decided to try to see Sharky & Bones at DTD on their first day. That might've been a mistake in a way.. Disney was horribly disorganized about the cd signing part of this, so most of it was a mess for us. I'll get to that. However, we saw Sharky & Bones!! ![]() ![]() If any of you can make it to DTD before they're gone, check 'em out! I loved them. Andrew thinks he's a bit too big for this one now, but still loved dancing by the stage, too! It was great!

Day Three - February 25th, 2012 - Part 1
Day Three!!
The next morning, DHS was having AM EMH and we planned to be there for it. I’d read wonderful things about repeat rides on Toy Story Midway Mania, and hoped we might get to experience just this! Packed and parked at DHS, this was the last day of our first WDW getaway this year! We didn’t quite make that 8am opening, and the lot was much busier than I expected. Oops. Inside the park, our first stop was a round of FPs before joining standby. Despite the look of things, it wasn’t too bad yet. ![]() ![]() ![]() As usual, I have no clue on the scores here! Honestly, I don’t even remember which child picked me as ride buddy either. Like I said at the end of the last TR, sometimes I skipped doing much for notes this year. This would be one of those days! I only have about half a page, so there isn’t a lot of detail. Star Tours is now one of our favorites, so Andrew and I definitely wanted to ride it next. We all moved in that direction, crossing in front of Sci-Fi. Seeing the empty car, the boys couldn’t resist going for a drive.. ![]() Being near one of our most favorite Disney restaurants was too tempting for us. I’d planned a lunch at 50's Prime Time, but none of us wanted to keep it now. We just can’t go to DHS without Sci-Fi, it seems! John decided he and Blake would spend our Star Tours time trying to fix this. They were easily able to cancel 50's Prime Time and pick up an early ADR here instead. Woo Hoo! Our TSM FP time began soon after our Star Tours ride ended. Things were running pretty well this morning, if it was much colder than the previous two days. (If you didn’t notice how the boys were dressed!) We crossed back to TSM and grabbed another set before riding. This time, I definitely remember who my ride buddy was! There are pictures! No really, I actually remember this part. John came along for the standby ride, but chose to sit out for this one. No problem. Mommy doesn’t mind double turns! Andrew took first turn..![]() ![]() ![]() Oh, look! Scores! I wonder which one is mine.. Blake got second turn and had a blast with the plate shooting scene. He loves those golden plates! My side wasn’t nearly as exciting. ![]() I lost an entire scene! It was the one with the dinosaurs and balloons. My favorite! I love hitting all the balloons on the volcano to make it erupt! How sad, huh?![]() Blakers didn’t do bad! ![]() ![]() It was pressed penny time before moving on.. ![]() ![]() Big job for a little man! I love this little area. We stuck around to browse the toys, not that anything really changes from one visit to the next.. Toy Story has the best merchandise, and we have a lot of it! We sometimes recreate the scene with Buzz and Woody on RC from the first movie. I might have more fun with these guys than the boys do. ![]() Blake challenged the CM with whatever that was. They were having too much fun. I could see that toy causing so much trouble if we dared to buy it. Never happening! Though it was early, there wasn’t too much time before that early ADR so we simply walked back to Sci-Fi and checked in. ![]() ![]() ![]() We had quite the wait, even after our ADR time came due, and were all pretty thankful when our name was called. The boys were definitely getting restless that morning! I don’t think I would’ve lasted another round of “I Spy” either! For such a fun theme, there just weren’t too many different colors in that room. ![]() ![]() ![]() Tom & Jerry in... I don’t remember the name of that cartoon.. Lunch was fun, as it’s always guaranteed to be here! I love watching these clips and eating in those cars. Blake likes when the Del-Vikings start singing. He LOVES to sing and “Come Go With Me” is one that must stick with him. He’ll keep it going for a long time after we leave. I find it too adorable, especially since that’s always been one of my favorite songs. Love that little guy! I still really want to see these movies, but haven’t put any effort into that project. The Blob was on television not too long ago, so John and I started watching. Then I sorta fell asleep.. ![]() "Beware of the Blob. It creeps.." and stuff. ![]()

Day Three - February 25th, 2012 - Part 2
For reasons I no longer know, it made perfect sense to go see Lightning McQueen and Mater after lunch. No idea where that came from. We don’t usually walk over to that part of the park for anything. Whatever the reason was, I do remember one of us was absolutely thrilled with the idea. Blakers couldn’t wait!
Nearing the cars, Andrew announced that he was waiting to the side for this project. He didn’t want to pose for a picture and doesn’t like these cars. Blake could go alone. Okay, fine with us. He stuck to the stroller while I joined the line with the little guy. We didn’t take two steps before Andy-Roo was at my side. Turns out, picture memories are important to him. He said he’d be sad when he “becomes a man” and looks at these of just baby brother, remembering how he chose to skip it. How wild was that one? He’s something else at times. It was sweet to have him join in. ![]() ![]() Blake loves that truck. I’m not a Cars fan at all, but his love for them is slowly winning me over. The photopass photographer didn’t even attempt to take pictures or ask if I had a card yet. It found it odd and commented to John when we left. He joked that they must remember me from our first year. I told one not to bother because we don’t buy them anyway. Doubt that, but it made me laugh. I sometimes buy them! John had next project choice and requested the Great Movie Ride. He seems to like that one. We walked across and were soon on our way into the movies. We had a stinky seat, the second to last row. It was tough to hear the CM leading us, but a better seat might not have helped it much. Her accent was so difficult for me to understand! When I could make it out, I kept noticing where she got the script wrong. I felt bad for her, guessing she might be new or having trouble with the language. Then, she got a movie quote wrong! How could she? I can't remember which, but I think it was at the end of the Wizard of Oz scene. I couldn't understand how you could lead this one if you didn't have some idea of the movie. Definitely not our best ride here! We checked out Blake’s favorite girl at the little mermaid ride, but I don’t remember any details there. Sorry for the poor notes on this day! I wasn't planning to do another TR at the time! It looks like I need a few words here and there to jog my memory now, too. I'm gettin' kinda old, ya know. ![]() After the mermaid ride, Andrew was itching to be in charge of our destiny so it was time to check on the drawing classes. Unfortunately for the little guy, it was PACKED in there. He didn’t want to wait around for it, but did spot some characters he wouldn’t mind collecting for his autograph book. ![]() I think we had one already, but it didn’t matter to him. A few of the characters have been lucky enough to make it in his book a couple of times. We stuck around this building for a while longer and stopped to say hi to Pooh again.. ![]() This is Blake pretending to be stuck to the honey on the wall! Silly boy! ![]() Winnie the Pooh! After seeing Pooh, we were clueless about where to go next. Our TSM FP time was still an hour or so away, and any show times were 30-40 of waiting, too. Being a bit tired helped us make a decision. We’ve been to Disney a few times now, and this year shows it. No one has a problem saying goodbye and moving on sometimes. That was it for this DHS day! See ya real soon, Mickey Mouse! |

Oh my goodness for Andrew! Such adult reasoning for someone so young!! So funny!!!
I love the SciFi diner! You need to watch The Blob! The theme song is the best! I love the poster for Attack of the Fifty-Foot Women. I was 11 when I saw that movie, and I felt such kinship with her because I was the tallest person in my class. I am now just average in height. |

It's such a shame that group targeted you to flip out on. They must not know WDW etiquette.
![]() In '09, I had some guy yell @ me & my DH. [bf @ time] He said we were standing in front of his kid's view of the castle/show. He yelped "This is for the kid's move, move, move!!!" After the show I went up to him & his wife & told him he was incredibly rude & has no manors whatsoever! I said, I'd never block a kid's view intentionally. Meanwhile, I was thinking, this is was my 20th trip,2nd one of the year & we were on a TWO week trip. A young couple has just as much right to vacation here. [& many do] Anyway,of all my vacations, I have NEVER met a more RUDE guest. It must have been his 1st trip & wanted to get his money's worth,b/c he sure don't know how to act! Starting fights w/ other PAYING guests is obviously something that is rare. So my point is, I KNOW exactly how awful that feels. [<---maybe not THAT bad, lol!] This is not the place where people generally act like that. Or in your case a GROUP of them! So I FEEL for you!!!Well, I'm glad to see you didn't let it ruin your vacation b/c you look like you all had a wonderful trip. I can't wait to read on!!! And your boys are soo cute!!

Every time I read a new update I just can't get over how big the boys are getting, especially Andrew! That reasoning of his is just amazing! I'm glad he'll have that picture for when he is a man!
Those Sci-Fi movie clips are definitely fun! Unfortunately, we had a less than stellar experience there this trip...it happens early on so I'll get there soon! I'm guilty of falling asleep during MANY movies, myself! It looks like Blake is taking a much more active role in your Disney touring this year!
