We got dinner at Rancho del Zocalo (our usual dinner spot at DL) and then decided to head over to Tomorrowland.

First we went to BLAB. I was too busy shooting during the ride to take any pictures! Then we headed to Autopia, DS loved being able to drive a car! When I show people the pictures of him on the ride, I usually say "We were so tired from driving to Cali for 13 hours, that we decided to just let DS drive", then show them the picture. Haha, the look on their face is always priceless! They can't tell if I'm being serious or not. Of course I then laugh and explain that it's just a ride at DL. After autopia, DS started showing signs of being tired. It was about 7:30 PM. We decided to call it a day, and headed back to the hotel. A pretty good day all around.

The next day we planned to hit DCA at rope drop. It was nice to be able to sleep in a little bit! As soon as rope drop hit, we moved with the masses toward TSMM. Geez that line gets long quick! We went straight there and still ended up waiting 45 minutes for that ride. It was the longest wait of our entire trip. DS loved it and wanted to ride it again, but by then the long was 1 1/2 hours and we weren't about to wait that long for a ride. On the plus side DS did really well during the 45 minute wait. He really had become a little line-pro already! He quietly played with his toys. He really loved the giant Mr. Potato head, but unfortunately it wasn't on when we went passed it.

My little line-pro!

Then we made our way through the boardwalk area and got some DELICIOUS corn dogs! Those are probably my favorite corn dogs in the world

We made our way over to A Bug's Land. Neither myself nor my mom had ever been to this area before. We thought the theming was really neat We went to It's Tough to be a Bug. DS really liked it, until the spiders dropped from the ceiling. He did not like that part at all.

DS did not want to ride Heimlich's Chew Chew train, but I still snapped a few pics of it

I love how Disney pays attention to the smallest details-even the restroom signs are themed!

After we left A Bug's Land, DS fell asleep. I got myself a mickey shaped ice cream sandwich-my favorite! When he woke up, we wandered around Hollywood.

DS loved Talk with Turtle Crush, but he kept asking me why Crush wasn't talking to him, lol.

We then rode Monster's Inc, twice.

She told me that I had a "cute little monster"

Me playing with DS's toy while waiting in line the second time

By now it was about 5:30 pm and DS was getting tired. We called it a day and headed out for the evening. Our next trip will be WDW with both grandparents. Can't wait for that!

After our two days at the DLR we spent some more time with family and then headed down to San Diego. We spent a day at Sea World and a day at the beach. I won't go into too much detail with those since this is a Disney forum but here are some pics anyway

Beach Day

Overall

Overall it was a good trip! I have traveled a lot (4 times to DLR, 1 time to WDW, 4 times to Mexico, many trips to Las Vegas, many trips to Cali, 1 cruise to the Bahamas, and many many roadtrips throughout the US to everywhere except the northeast) being in my mid 20's I feel like that is a lot of travel. However traveling as a mommy is quite a different experience! I have always been sort of a commando traveler (usually stay at the Disney parks until midnight when possible, and don't miss a single thing), but having a little one meant taking things slow, missing certain things, following the child's lead etc. The funny thing is I didn't enjoy myself less, I actually found that I noticed the little details this time that normally I miss. I also took a lot more pictures than I normally take. It's definitely a different type of travel, and it's a lot harder! I'm glad I have all the traveling experience prior to being a mommy. Had I waited to travel until after having kids, I may have been overwhelmed!

Looks like you had a great trip even if the days were shorter And your son is a cutie, glad to hear he was well behaved and enjoyed so many dark rides.
