Here, here! As long as I can remember our Disney trips were in February/early March. The weather is just nice enough to keep most everyone pleasant to each other. Nice to see more Disney fanatics are catching on, GoofyVette.

Booked our trip

Booked our tickets, yippee. Will be in Disney Feb 9th till the 15th at Sports.
Haven't been seen Feb 2002, went for our 25 anniversary, stayed at the Wilderness Lodge.
This time we are taking D, SIL, GD and hubby with us and meeting another D and SIL there.
Been 10 years looking forward to a fun trip.

Hey Fellow Californian. September too, well I don't feel quite so guilty now. We should probably be saving our cash for taxes out here but tough, I'm going to Disney World (again).

Thanks for letting me know about Wicked being shown in Orlando in February! I saw it once in NY and I fell in love with it.

I need tickets for this!

ETA: I bought two! OMG, I'm so excited! THANK YOU so much, I even thought about going to NYC to see this show again, it didn't even cross my mind to see if I could see it in Orlando. I hope these tickets arrive safe and sound at POFQ.

So - what are YOU going to pack??

Not sure if there is a post within this thread or not....but based on the "layering" suggestions and the multiple mentions of unpredictable weather in February, I need help planning our packing strategy! (always gone in Sept).

What's a typical February suitcase going to have? Since it's too early to pack for real, thought it would be fun to pretend here! I mean....I'm just sitting here in Northeast PA waiting for the storm anyway, so I might as well imagine I'm packing for Florida! LOL

Watch the weather forecasts starting about ten days ahead of time. The closer to the day you are leaving, the more accurate it will be. Jeans or similar pants will be good enough for the coolest weather. Bring shorts because you should be able to wear those. Bathing suit is a must. A sweatshirt or sweater or similar will be necessary, most likely. And depending on the forecast you may be bringing down a winter jacket. Watching fireworks at night can be rather chilly at 55 degrees.

We have also had glorious warm 80 degree weather in February. So it all depends on what is happening at that time.

We always wear our winter coat and jeans on the plane. That way we have it if we need it. I used to wear a light weight coat on the plane until the dreaded January trip where I froze to death and ended up wearing the same sweater and long sleeved shirt every day because it was the only ones I brought. But the end of February should be warmer than January.

Hi all! I'm joining in! We had a trip booked for December 2012 but had to postpone it due to family health reasons. So we pushed it back to February! We'll be staying at Pop February 24-March 4! Very excited & so happy we just rescheduled & didn't have to cancel!

We'll be Hourglass Lake neighbors! My clan's staying at AoA that week, too.

Was there at Wilderness 10 years ago, just got out the pictures. Shorts and tees one day and layered 3 shirts and a light weight jacket the next. Will pack for layers again this year. Wish we could stay at the Wildereness again this year, but will have to settle for the Sports (paying for 5 this year) But at least we will be out of town for Mardi Gras this year. Will be a welcome change.
