Thanks all my DIS friends !!! I'll let you all know when I get a room assignment (I don't expect to know anything until 2 weeks before the cruise)and what sort of verandah I end up getting

It is mind boggling......
I am looking at the cabin #'s on the Dream room thread......many of the 5E's are midship.......or even a bit more "forward". The DCL website says 5E's are decks 5, 6, 7, 8 or 9. But the Dream room thread only shows deck 5.

My TA told me I would definitely be AFT ???? So confusing.....but I am fine.....will wait and see. I don't think there's anyway to figure this thing out

These are the 5E's listed on the Dream thread :
(Cat 5E) - 5024, 5052, 5052, 5052, 5524, 5524, 5544, 5546, 5546, 5548, 5552, 5552, 5552,

Those WERE 5Es & had been since reclassified to Cat 4E. That thread is old, but the pics are still very relevant (just not the Cat#s under the room numbers). The NEW 5Es are the OLD 6As and are all aft I just showed you that thread for pics really. Just look at the 1st pic only.

Got our GTY assignments today for the Fantasy 50 days out. The 7A got a 7A and the two 11C rooms got connecting 5C rooms...now that is a really good upgrade!

Booked a 6B for 2 ppl, DS 14 and myself, in late March for September 22, received rm 5536 which I think is a 4E today (50 days out)

Question : We just recently changed our 6B GTY to a 5E GTY. I understand I can be upgraded....but what if I don't want to be upgraded ? I sort of would prefer to get one of the 5E cabins. Can I put in a request to DCL to not be upgraded ? I suppose an upgrade is any other verandah just a higher category ? Like a 5D or 4D i.e. ?

OK, now I'm back playing the GTY game because a bunch of cats. were released for my 9/1 Fantasy cruise today. So, I called and paid to do an upgrade from an 11C to a 9C (totally worth it - even though there's only 2 of us I like having the split bath). But, it was a GTY....so, here I go again! I sail in 28 Days and I've started this GTY game all over again! I guess I'll be checking the website multiple times per day again!

Pixie Dust would be AWESOME!

Yes, I am...but for more reasons than this!

Like I said, this cruise is a gift from me to my mom for her 60th Birthday. If spending a little more $$ to upgrade to a deluxe oceanview stateroom makes her happy, I will be happy!
