Tortuga Tavern

Does anyone know if Tortuga Tavern will be open the second week of September? I've looked and all I can find is that it is "seasonal."

I would say that it is unlikely as September is the slowest month. Your best bet to try and catch it would be on a Saturday during peak lunch hours. It may not even be open then, but if it is going to be, the busier the park the more likely it will be open.

It was open last year right after Labor day. DS and his friends went there one day. I got pictures.............they got taco salads! LOL. Even when Torutga is open they close at 3pm. Who knows about this year!? They have been open when I have been in Disney in late Feb, early/late March and early late Nov into Dec.

It opens during busy times so it's hard to say exactly what it's schedule is. While September is a slow month, there is free dining this year so it may be open. The best thing to do is pick up a weekly times guide when you arrive at the MK because it's usually listed. When we've been there and it was open the hours were very limited - usually 11:00 to 3:00.

Agree -- don't bother, even if it's open. if you want MUCH better food, go to a Taco Bell.

My family ate there September 23rd last year the food was good and we liked the salad bar option for our taco salad. Service was really quick and it was one of our favorite quick meals. Tables were clean as were the restrooms. Great experience overall.

I kinda have to agree here. Now its been awhile since we've eaten there, but the food was fresh and good when we ate there.

We really like TT- the taco salads and rice and bean burritos are good. We visit often in September. Sometimes it's open, sometimes it's not. It was open the last two Septembers we've visited for at least a portion of the time.

I don't eat onions-they squelch when you bite into them
I don't eat raisins-they look like dried up bugs
Can we say food issues?

Ate there in September two years ago, during the third week. Good nachos, and the toppings bar was awesome.

I'm from a state where there is good Mexican food and I am often in the home of TexMex so I eat it frequently, and thought TT was fine. Not the best but not Taco Bell.
