Thanks for reading along we love our readers!!! Thank you thank you thank you
Yea, 12 days!!! I don't know how we managed to pull it off but we did and it was one of the best trips ever (in my opinion )The three Caballeros T-shirt came from the Mexico Pavilion. They come in red, blue and green. The green is a child's size. We bought our inside the Actual Pavilion but now I think that they sell them right outside as well. ![]() WE HAVE SO MUCH LOVE FOR DISNEY haha and I'm sure you will see that more and more if you stick around. Thanks for reading along!!!

Request Granted, YOLO is Going Well
May 26, 2012 When the woman at the front desk handed over the map to the resort we were THRILLED when we saw that we would be staying in the Broadway section Building 7 to be specific. This is the packet that they hand you upon check in ![]() The buildings in this resort aren’t as spread out as I thought they would be so the walk from Country Fare wouldn’t have been that bad, never the less we were VERY excited to finally be checking into a room. We made our way out of the main building and back to Broadway building 7, Andy and I knew exactly where we were headed because that’s where our friends Keirsten and Primo had stayed when we went in March. Here is the map that we were given. Our room ended up being in the corner just below the X ![]() We made it to the room after a slight detour. We missed a sign that told us to go left instead of straight and walked in a giant circle. As we walked I swore we were going to end up in the very back of the resort. BUT, to our delight we ended up in a really great location on the first floor!!! Not too bad for booking 12 days out eh? We entered the rooms, Andy and I knew their sizes not the biggest rooms in the world and let me tell you they seemed a lot bigger when it was just the two of us. Sam and Brittany were a little taken back but we soon remembered we would spend little to no time here so it didn’t really matter. When we walked in one night there were these pictures on the table for Sam and I’m not sure what night it was so I’ll just pretend it was this night. I got a congratulations one for my graduation and Sam got a Birthday one ![]() Mickey Towel!!! ![]() We dragged our bags in and started to get things settled. ![]() Our room was right around the corner from this poster. I had to snag a picture of it because I have a friend from school who would love to be Bert in Mary Poppins the Musical. ![]() After we settled in a little bit we decided to go out and check out the resort and see if we could refill our mugs/get some food. I mean it’s only 2am why not right? We walked out of our room and took a right and we were face to face with this ![]() Brittany in the Big Apple?! Nope just hanging out at the All Star Music ![]() Each building had a box office Our Building Displayed pictures from Mary Poppins and (my favorite) The Little Mermaid and the other building had the Lion King and Beauty and the Beast (the first musical I ever saw on stage ever) Underneath the giant signs at night there was a Goofy answering phones at will call ![]() When you walked off Broadway and turned right you were in the Jazz section, which in my mind was the most peaceful spot in the resort. There was a nice little fountain and the sounds of smooth jazz and crickets and the lights flickered to imitate fire flys ![]() ![]() On the way back to the main building we discussed going swimming!!! Brittany was all about it and even stuck her feet in the kiddie pool ![]() But then we decided, we have a BUSY day tomorrow and we had better get some sleep. Maybe tomorrow Three Caballero pool, who am I kidding not tomorrow but I promise we will visit before we leave ![]() This was a sign near the pool about specification for baby swimwear I just thought that the Donald was really cute ![]() We made our way to the Main building to check it out and see if there was any food to be devoured. I love the little musical touches. We pretended to sight sing any notes we saw. Most of the time it was really bad but we had fun pretending we were legitimate musicians haha ![]() Of course, now it was a little after 2am and nothing was going to be open, oh well it was worth a try. We awkwardly stood in the lobby trying to decide if we could go in and get drinks or not, if you are wondering the refillable drink station only stays open until midnight. We looked at all the famous people and pictures in the lobby. Andy found the love of his life Carrie Underwood. How cute is young love? ![]() Aida, one of my favorite musicals of all time, I’ve never actually seen it but I am obsessed with the music. I use to sing it all the time in my voice class because the songs are nice, low and in my range ![]() And then I took a picture of The Beatles because my brother (K.C. who we had to leave behind) LOVES them ![]() We made our way back to the room, we were beginning to lag too much excitement for one day I suppose. We made it back to our beautiful section ![]() And we took just a few more photos, you can never have enough photos was basically a reoccurring theme for this trip. ![]() Our lovely home for the next few fun filled day ![]() I had to laugh at the sign that they had in the center of the road ![]() And one more picture before we turned in for the night. I couldn’t get over how pretty this place was at night. It was amazing to me. Disney does not fail on any part of theme and decoration. ![]() We got back to the room and I plug in my new iphone gadget. ![]() It’s a case that charges your phone!!! I thought it was extremely necessary because every night of our March trip my phone was dead before we got back to the room. I guess that’s what I get for sending pictures to my family all day everyday. It worked GREAT, I would charge it over night (I plugged it into my laptop but you can plug it in using the cube from your iphone charger as well). It has an on off switch on the bottom so that if you don't want to leave it on at all time you have the choice of turning it off. It lasts for about one full charge and a half. It’s great because you can still use your phone while it charges and then when it’s done you have a full battery. So it totally expands your battery life. Best part it was less that $11 on ebay. (Side Note: I am addicted to ebay like it’s bad) *I have had a few questions about the case so I decided to add the link below so that you can check out the eBay action. Please not that I am in no way affiliated with this seller, it's just a product that I found and really liked so I decided to share with everyone!!! Also, just a heads up it gets shipped and delivered super fast I ordered mine 10 days out and had it with plenty of time to spare* External Backup battery Charging Case Then we turned in. Created a shower schedule watched a little bit of tv and dozed off around 2:30ish. Late nights were going to be another reoccurring theme. Up next, the REAL fun begins… Tune In Next Time!!!

I have to admit, the All Star resorts have never appealed to me, but the fact that there's a Broadway section is completely thrilling to me! I'm a big fan of musicals, so the theming there looks awesome.
I love that you took a picture of the Aida photo, because I love that musical too. I saw it in 2004, I think, and I was so obsessed with it after that. Looking forward to more.

Wow, it sounds like you got a great room for booking less than two weeks out!
I love how Goofy is answering phones at will call! That’s a very cool iPhone case that you got off of eBay. Excited to see what you do on your first full day!

Thank you so much!!!Ah I am just so glad that so many people have taken and interest in our trip and are enjoying it ![]() I think that the All-Stars are perfect for quick stays. For us it was, well... we shouldn't really be taking this trip so we can't go all out but we might as well get the Disney experience!!! I love the themeing at these hotels are perfect (I can't speak for the sports because I haven't stayed there yet) but really, if you are looking for a cheap way to do disney withouth skimping on the price this is it!!! I might not have liked them as much had they not all just been refurbed (I had heard that they were kind of yucky before) but I wouldn't turn my nose up at them anymore especially for our purposes we really just need a bed to sleep in and a shower haha. Thanks again for joining in External Backup battery Charging Case I'm sure even if you do a simple google search you can find one on Amazon or something like that if you aren't an ebay user. Hope that helps. Quote:
I agree with you, when we first stayed at the All Star in March I was literally dreading it. I have stayed at SSR, POR and when I was younger we stayed in the Cabins at FW. I had no interest or desire to stay at what I used to call the Motel 8 of Disney. Just the reviews I heard made it seem less than appealing. But I can honestly say that my mind was changed when we stayed at the ASMo and even more so at ASMu. Maybe it's because they just got/ are in the process of being refurbished and are cleaner. But I honestly would stay here every trip if I money was tight. They are a perfect way to do Disney without spending your entire life savings to do so. There is still so much magic and detail put into everything!!! I feel like ASMu is really underrated, most people usually tend to side with ASMo or the POP. But I would go back here in a heart beat!!!
You have seen it?!? I am so jealous. My older sister saw it in high school and listened to the Soundtrack on repeat for years which got me to love it as well. Ugh, just such goooooood music. Thanks for tuning in and I hope you continue to enjoy

I was originally booked at the ASMusic but then I switched to POP because for some reason, it really appeals to me.
And you're right, when you're going on the cheap you take what you can and thankfully you're still on property

We originally wanted to stay at the POP!!! But booking so late we were only going to be able to spend two nights there, if the trip were longer we wouldn't have mind switching but it would have been 2 nights one place and 2 in another to much hassel for us
I will stay at the POP sometime, I swear. I am obsessed with the 50's and am dying to stay in that section haha.

We like the Value resorts because it gives us more money to play with and buy things with while we are there.. We stayed at CBR last time an felt we wasted 2 grand to stay there because honestly who stays at their hotel resort unless it is to sleep. Yeah we had a resort day but you know what we slept most of it and then went to a ADR then came back and slept more.
We go commando when we are in the parks and only go to the park with EMH that night. We are staying at AOA this Christmas. |
