Dinner was very good. So good, in fact, that we have an ADR there in May. Cirque wasn't in the cards at the beginning of the trip but when I received the % off email, I couldn't pass it up. Quote:
I bought that dress at Sam's Club of all places and it was less than $20.00! It packed so well. Quote:

Heck ya, you and Vinny could travel with us. There's always some sort of surprise...can't guarantee another Cirque surprise though. ![]() Quote:

I think that Maddie would love Cirque. Even if you didn't understand the storyline, the performers are magnificient. Quote:

The portions at House of Blues were big! So big that we could have shared. We did go see the new 3D movie. It was amazing! I wanna go back and see it again. Quote:

Cirque is amazing and I'd love to be able to do it over and over again but it's pretty expensive.

Is that Clark W. Griswold, Jr?
Today was our second EPCOT day and Lacey and Jesse’s first. We were at the bus stop right around park opening time which is on par with our usual routine. No matter how hard we try, we just can’t seem to get ready in time for park opening. At least Caribbean Beach is close to EPCOT so the ride wouldn’t be long. (Timed it: 10 minutes). The bus was pretty empty when we got on and I felt comfortable taking pictures. Jesse and his Paw-In-Law: ![]() Jesse’s “Brother”, Hunter: ![]() Lacey and I: ![]() Lacey’s ridiculously ugly toe shoes which John called “her ape shoes”: ![]() Also on the bus with us was a family who reminded us of the Griswold Family. The father had on super short teal colored shorts that looked like something that Clark W. Griswold, Jr. would wear. Given that you can’t see their faces, I don’t mind posting a picture of the man’s shorts: ![]() Clark’s shorts: ![]() See the similarity? Don’t get me wrong, I’m not judging. Back in the day, both John and I wore our “short shorts” but that was back in the 80's. I am sure that we looked a little something like this: (found on Google Images and can you believe that it’s a Disney picture too?) ![]() Anyway, we had a little giggle over the teal Clark Griswold shorts as we walked towards the front of the park. Lacey and I went through bag check and met up with the guys on the other side. Soon, we were in the park and ready to get our ride on! ![]() Where would we head first? ![]() Well, I headed towards Soarin’ to get Fastpasses since I’m the fastest walker in the bunch. Fastpasses obtained, I headed back towards the front of the park where I met back up with my family and we headed to: ![]() Every time I see a bed of marigolds at EPCOT, I remember a day when we were at the Flower & Garden Festival admiring how beautiful the flower beds were and how bright the marigolds were. Along came a grumpy old lady in a scooter who took one look at the flowers and said, rather loudly, “those flowers STINK!”. We still, to this day, say that same thing every time we see the flowers at EPCOT. Funny thing to remember but we do. We walked into the pre-show area just as it was ending so Jesse didn’t get to see the whole thing. We really like Ellen Degeneres and hated that we missed it but there was nothing we could do about it other than go out and come back in. That wasn’t happening so we stayed put. I know that the Universe of Energy isn’t a favorite amongst everybody but we enjoy it. We have a nice laugh at Ellen during the last segment of the show and she’s whooping “Stupid Judy’s” behind. After the show was over, it was almost time to use our Fastpasses but not quite. We decided to make a stop at Club Cool and have a sip or two of the delicious and not-so-delicious Coke products. ![]() ![]() ![]() You can’t see it in the picture but this was Jesse getting his first sip of the Beverly. He said that it wasn’t as bad as he thought it was going to be but one taste was enough for him. ![]() Sippin’ done, it was time to use our Fastpasses for Soarin’: ![]() ![]() Oops, there’s a line forming: ![]() But, we were through the line in no time and I even had enough time to give the camera some jazz hands: ![]() So, how did Jesse like Soarin’? He loved it! Yay! **Up next: Searching for my lost shaker of salt!

Your google image of the 80's outfit had me doing this...
![]() !!! Because that girl could have been ME too! Seriously, I had the sandals with the criss cross in the center, the pleated khakies, the haircut...the only difference would have been her lack of creativity with the shirt, I mean REALLY? the 80's were the years for bright, splashy, and gaudy and she wore a plain white shirt...come on! SO UN-COOL!!! ![]() ![]()

I'm more disturbed by Lacey's shoes than the Griswald shorts, lol. Are they comfortable? I see so many people wearing them and I can't imagine. Of course, I can't stand the feel of toe socks, so I'm sure I'd never make it in those shoes.
Looks like a fun day! |

I thought the same thing. That soooooo could have been me in those pictures. Like you, I think that she could have bit a bit more creative with the shirt choice. Mine would have been a bit like the one that Audrey is wearing in the Griswold picture. Quote:

Those shoes are hideous. Sorry Lacey! Evan is dying for a pair and I've refused and have so far been able to talk him out of spending his own money on them.
I have still never seen Ellen, nor have I made it to actual park opening with my family. Without them, yes, but with them, we always miss it by a little. Or a lot depending on who is along for that days ride. I'm probably more bothered by Clark Jr's overall combination of items with the sock height being the chief offender to me.

Yep, the socks are pretty bad. Clark wore loafers and no socks! Ellen is a pretty neat ride if you like stories about energy or Ellen Degeneres. She's always been a favorite of our's.

I know someone who has those sahoes and says they atr very comfy but I think they are U-G-L-Y and could never stand them. My daughter loves toe socks so she would probably wear them. I love Clark Griswold but that man in the teal shorts should go shopping more than once every 20 years. Love your pictures but when I see those ugly name things in front os Spaceship Earth I want to scream.

Hahahaha those are ABSOLUTELY Clark Griswold shorts!!!
Funny memory about the Epcot flowers...people really do seem to say the most random things sometimes! My friends and I were in the city last week, and this woman comes RACING by behind us, yelling to the person along with her "I NEED A COCONUT CAKE, ASAP!!!"

Lisa, I would normally keep quiet, but I just can't. Those shoes are hideous looking.
