No judgement from me but just so you know, we're here for you if you need help.

Great shots from Chefs. You got some really good pictures of Shanleigh enjoying herself.

Great update! That food looked yummy! This was the day we were leaving WDW because we drove right past the fire as we were leaving! I have some up close pics that I yelled at Keith to take while I was driving haha..Looked like a pretty bad forest fire. We were so sad to leave that day, I remember it being like a week after we got home and thinking that you guys were still at WDW! I can't wait to do longer trips in the future

Great update!! No judging here...I started watching Christmas movies last weekend!

Never been to Chef's but the food looks amazing! Great picture of Shanleigh!

Amazing sand sculpting...I have zero talent in the art area.

Looking forward to more!

Your lunch looks delicious and I am so excited you got to see "Little Chef" what a great movie! I would love love love to go at Christmas time and see all the lights and decorations but I don't know how we would fair with the crowds? We like to go in early February and the crowds are usually nonexistent.

Great pics from the parade And good for you for saying something to the rude people, its unbelievable that people are so self-centered

Glad you enjoyed Chefs, it looked delicious!

for a Christmas trip, I'm going to miss the dose of Disney cheer that we got to enjoy last year.

I think Les Chefs is officially on our list for next summer! Looks like the perfect meal for us-rich fattening French food for DH and I and character interaction for DD! (she was actually just watching Ratatouille this morning)

Love seeing the gentleman carving the sand sculpture. That's so amazing!

Scary to see the fire from the interstate (yes, you used the right word. ). Glad that you ladies were safe and sound.

I'm so loving the pictures of Shan with Remy in Les Chefs! I was wishing I got to meet him last year but no luck. That's such a cute little thing they do!!

Also... yikes, that fire looks bad! I hope no one was hurt!
No kidding! His work was amazing!

Isn't that a great picture! That little guy is so cute! It was nice too because the restaurant wasn't busy so he was spending a little more time with each table....

I don't believe anyone was hurt but it was a Friday and people trying to get away or coming into WDW were backed right up!

Love Chefs de France!!! Yum yum yummy!

I hate those moments when I buy something in WDW and forget to have my purchases sent back to the room!

You and Shan are just like my Mom and I. That's so like us ordering the same three courses.

Aaaahhhhhh!!! Baguette. I'm in heaven.

I love that picture with Shan and Remy! It's just so cute.

Oooohhhhh, croque monsieur. I have eaten that plenty of times in Europe. Heavenly.

No, Shan will never be used to you doing funny / embarrassing things. 31 years and I still sometimes have moments with my Mom.
Thanks hon and yes, I am enjoying my vacation! Unfortunately this is the only day I have nothing planned so must get all my household chores completed!

I told Shan that she'll only get payback when she has children of her own I love that your family is as close as we are....at the end of the day, they really are the only people you can truly count on!!!

I can totally relate on being SO hot. What is it about World Showcase that just makes it feel THAT much hotter?! I remember standing in line last June for Snow White and sweating buckets!

thanks, I have it playing again this morning I usually put my tree up the first weekend in November...call me crazy but I love to enjoy it for as long as possible.!

Oh it was soooo good....I would go back for lunch again in a heartbeat! I enjoyed the different options that were available for lunch that I've never seen at dinner!

I feel the same....I guess while you're walking around there really is no shade unless you take a load off and grab a bench....then I need a GGS to go with me sitting on the bench!

We had such a good time there! I forgot to mention when we left there I grabbed a GGS for the walk But then again, you guys would just know that about me!

Hey hon! Shan and I were thinking of you guys that day. Can't wait to see the pics once you get to this day! Our first 2 trips to the World were for 7 days but since 2004 we've made them 2 week trips...except for January 2010...that was 10 days cause the kids had to get back to school. The thing I love the most about a longer vacation is the down time to relax....it just might be my favourite part!

Oh good....not gonna lie, I thought about putting in It's a Wonderful Life but then Shan gave me the look!

Thanks....we've never had a bad experience here and the food has always been great!

You and me both....it's laughable when we go to Art of Animation....which I have to post the pics we drew this past trip now come to think of it!

Thanks, we were thrilled to see Remy again that's for sure! I love those little pieces of pixie dust that you don't know are coming!

When we went the first 2 weeks in December the crowds were great but when our friends went on Dec 23 to celebrate Christmas the crowds were horrid! She said never again They booked the first 2 weeks the following year!

Thanks Lara

I have to give credit where credit is due and that's to you my friend. It was when I was reading your TR that it dawned on my that we could go at the beginning of December. Not sure how University breaks work for Ontario but here they usually have about a month off before they go back, depending on their courses.

I loved the pics of you all with the decorations and your holiday attire....you inspired me to make this trip work so thank you

I think it's got a little something for all of you! Maddie would love Remy....oh, see, now I can't wait for pictures from that!!

Amazing is the right word and although he is shaded it was a scorcher that day so I had to give him even more credit!

It was a terrible wildfire! We felt must better when we were watching it from the comfort of the room on the tv! I was surprised how many helicopters were in the air covering the footage!

I'm in a very Christmas-y mood, as well, so I can't blame you.

I think it's great that you and Shan have such similar tastes that you each ordered the same three courses. My mom and I are the complete opposite. If we were shown two items, we would each pick the opposite of each other.

Ugh, I remember that fire, it was pretty bad.

Spending down time at the resort can be so restful, and I imagine it was cooler than walking around a park in that heat.

Yay! I was just going thru some of our ornaments... you know, dusting then off etc

That's hilarious and we're like that sometimes too! Shan loves pasta and piza and could eat it all the time...she hates red meat and veggies so we do differ in some ways

It was bad and I felt so bad for people who were trying to get away for the weekend! Have to say we were ready for somewhat of a down mid afternoon/evening.

I agree. So much time and effort put into a medium that will be gone in a short while.

Some, shorter than others. I watched a video the other day of a reporter talking to a guy who was just putting the finishing touches on a huge, intricate sand castle... She stepped up on a cooler to point out some features... and then fell on it.

Funny, yet horrifying all at the same time.

Glad you kept your ADR at Chefs so that I could see your pictures....well, what food there was in your pictures We are going in December and we've never been and I'm really looking forward to it. Did Jasmine have the French Onion Soup (I thought I caught a glimpse of it in the picture)? That is the soup I really want to try.

Christmas music? Seriously? It's not even Halloween yet.

We listen to Christmas music year-round, so no judgement here! Doesn't it always put you in the best mood??

That lunch looks indulgent and yummy. And since I just have a bland salad with no good stuff on it for lunch today, I'm a little jealous!

I would freak out if I saw a fire at Disney, no joke. I'd be worrying all day that it was in another park, perhaps one of my favorite attractions on fire! How long until you figured out what was actually going on?

I LOVE that picture of pure happiness on Shanleigh's face! No matter how old a child gets, they will always be your baby, and making them happy is priority #1! The whole trip would be worth it just for that one moment!

I had a feeling you would....I know, you'd think I could have at least waited until after our birthday's right...but no! I am trying to get as organized as possible for the holidays before I go back to work that it just seemed like the right thing to do....you're not buying that for one second are you?

And it sure sounds like you made the right decision.

I think so.....it was a tough one but I think the right one!

Sounds like it was pretty great!

It was amazing!

If you both had the lobster bisque, why does it look like Shan has French Onion soup in front of her?

cause clearly I'm getting older and even though there is proof in a picture, I clearly lost my mind! It was the french onion sound

Not this time. I have to hold myself back when there's good bread around.

Our plan tomorrow morning is get up, hit DeLuca's for warm bread, cheese and cold meats for brunch! Can't wait!! I love that place!

It's a great shot. And Remy in the background looks like he's the brunt of the joke. He looks like he's going, "What's so funny?"

That's exactly how he looks!

Whew! I don't know what was wrong with me on this trip....I kept forgetting....Shanleigh kept reminding me and she got really good at it the following week.

I first thought, "Oh no! What part of Disney is on fire?!" Did you think that too? Or was it obvious that it wasn't a Disney fire?

We did think that! I kept saying to Shanleigh which way are we facing, of course we had no clue...south, north, who knew? I didn't think it was obvious, I thought it was something on fire behind the scenes in Epcot!

Again??? No GGS, again?????

Oh no no...I had one I was walking with it, just forgot to mention it!

Something we would see on Funniest Home Videos

Oh....in December, it's such great comfort food! Yes, you're right, I'm a big loser, she was having the french onion soup and loved it! She considers herself quite a connisseur of it too

I know....what can I say....my addiction to all things Christmas is as bad as my WDW addiction I was thrilled last night when our Shopping Channel had Christmas stuff for sale, but I was good, I was only watching because the sets are all decorated now!

Yay...glad we have the same addiction! Always puts me in a good mood! As a matter of fact, I have a disc in the car so when I pick up Shanleigh today it'll be playing...and she'll be thrilled

It was so good, but I think better in the winter, it was quite heavy! But believe me, I enjoyed it anyways

You're right...and I can still picture that little girl from our very first trip and it still brings tears to my eyes.

Haven't been there for a while. Every now and then I'd head downtown and Ruby & I would go there (upstairs) for lunch (Margherita pizza). But it went downhill a year or two ago and we haven't been back since.
