Has anyone seen a comparison article yet? I am just starting to look at these and really want to make a good decision.

I know that Trey Radcliff is raving about the NEX and there is a huge buzz over the new Olympus...

Mike, that's a great job considering the lighting in Chef Mickey's. We ate there on our last trip and my photos were a disaster. I had the hardest time dealing with the lighting.

I had that same problem, that corner I was in was horrible as far as lighting. I got a few good ones, a few decent that I was able to save in PP and then mostly some not so good lol. I was in a whirl wind the whole meal, sat down, character, diaper change, get food, another character, try to eat and adjust settings, here comes another character, try to stop my little one from throwing food on the floor, smile here comes Mickey, finish eating, here is your bill lol. I was surprised I got any to tell you the truth.

One consideration would be lens selection. I'm not too knowledgable about the Sony lenses but Olympus and Panasonic have some really wonderful lenses (some a bit pricey) available now or soon for the E-M5

I have the Nex 7 and love it. I haven't used he OM-D but think its a great camera. I chose the Nex for APS-C sensor, focus peaking, Tri-Navi controls, and size. On the Nex, I sometimes use the LA-EA2 adapter with alpha mount lenses which turns the camera into a DSLR. I also use plenty of old manual focus lenses on it which is my favorite. The focus peaking and assist makes manual focusing easy. I haven't used any M4/3 cameras so I don't know much about them. As far as lenses go, the Nex can adapt to almost every lens ever made via adapters and manual focus. I find that there are enough lenses in Emount for the average person, plus there are more coming. Sigma and Tamron have started making lenses for the Nex line. The only thing I love about the M4/3 is the in body stabilization.

Harry, you ever thought about jumping to a full frame camera eventually?

Mike S., if I was a professional I would probably go FF. For what I shoot I'm satisfied with APS-C. It seems like every year sensors and cameras are improving. I would be excited to see a Nex FF. I want to pick up a DSLR body for the in body stabilization to use on Tele zooms. My problem is that I'm spoiled by the size and weight of the Nex 7. I don't even use my BR strap much anymore. Now I walk around with my Nex on a wrist strap. I like that I can stick the camera in my wife's purse if I need too. The one thing that I love about the D700/3s is the ability to shoot at 6400-12800 with no problems.

Mike R., cool shots! Is that a SRT in the background? I have the Rokkor 45/2 and 50/1.4 PG and love them both. I find the Minolta 45 an awesome lens. It's small and my copy is really sharp at f2.

Did I read that you can use current 4/3rd lens on the Oly Micro cameras with an adapter?

I really like all I have read about the new Olympic and if I could use a few of the lens I currently have (12-60, 70-300, 35mm macro) it would be a bonus.

Not only can you, they will all auto focus on your Olympus mirrorless with an Olympus adapter since they were designed for digital. (And I don't need to tell you that Olympus glass is among the finest out there.) I have bought the adapter but I haven't actually used it yet as, for what I've shot thus far, the kits have been great. One of these days I'll try it out, though. I'm curious to see what the PEN looks like with the 70-200 on it. (I'll post it when I do.)

Cataloging the newest mirrorless here, link to dpreview in first post: http://www.disboards.com/showthread....ferrerid=70088
