We were there for similar dates this year and it was fantastic! It is my favorite week to go (with my birthday right in the middle) and we've done it 4 or 5 times. This trip we have to take advantage of the APs and go earlier.

We've already tweaked our dates a bit since DH didn't get the time off he wanted. We're now going from January 8 - 16 and will be continuing up the coast to visit family afterwards. We were really hoping to do it the other way around but I'm just so excited to be going!!

I was really hoping to catch the end of HMH, which I'm sure we won't now, but I am looking forward to (hopefully) seeing Small World.

Our trips are usually at the end of the month around my birthday so going this early will be a change.

Perhaps we'll even glimpse a bit of Christmas?
We have the same dates too! First time for dl and California for my family. We are very excited booked vgc too ( we own okw) . We are thinking to visit the parks for 3 days and do some sightseeing the other days then after our stay at vgc head to Vegas for 3 nights

That's great to hear. We like to do Disney between the MLK and President's Day weekend crowds, especially while our kids are young enough (first grade, preschool) where missing a week of school is not a huge deal. The prices are cheaper, the crowds are smaller, and in Florida especially, the weather is much milder.

I have researched the Events Schedule for that week by looking at 2012, but with Cars Land, things may change. I hope they keep the Get Up and Go Power Walk though.

We own SSR. We bought in 2007 and we've only used it once for 1 night in WDW (the night before a cruise). We've used it at the DLH and VGC. We definitely NEED more points and we want them to be at VGC.

My son is starting preschool in the fall. I know that vacationing at this time of year won't last forever, but I'm going to drag it out as long as possible!

I missed the memo on the Power Walk last year, which was really too bad since we were up at sunrise ever morning (Son: "HEY! Wake up! The sun is coming out!") Its on my must do list for this trip!

DH & I are planning to go at the end of January. We'll be activating our APs next week, so we'll want to get as many trips as we can within the year.

It'll be fun to go at a much slower pace. Even if some stuff is closed, we'll be OK.

I know this isn't the best pic, but its a picture of the sun coming up over DCA on our first morning at Disneyland last January. It brings back such great memories! I can't wait to do it again!

Thanks for the picture. I love morning pics of the parks. We had a view from PPH last year and some of my favorite pics are of the sun coming up over DCA

We are!!
We're finishing our 5 week California/ Las Vegas holiday with almost 2 weeks in Anaheim, staying at Hojo's in a kids suite. We'll be there from 8th-20th January.
This will be my 2nd visit to DL...the first was back in 1994!! It'll be a first visit for my husband, 2 daughters (aged 10 and 7) and my Mum. We can't wait!!!!

Our first trip to DL... staying at VGC January 12 - 18. Origianally had the Treehouses booked at SSR and then found out about CL opening. My son is Cars crazy and I'm not sure how much longer he will be (he's about to turn 7).

I guess I'll join in. Another NorCal'er! I'll be there for the Tinker Bell 1/2 in January! Still haven't decided exactly which dates to go (Fri - Mon? Fri - Sun? Sat - Mon?). We've never stayed at a DLR hotel before and am tempted to go all out because it's my first race ever! Not that the event isn't special in itself, but I'm tired of making excuses to NOT stay there.
