Port or Starboard??

Hi
I am new to this site and i am looking to booking a cruise on the Disney Fantasy. I was just wondering as to whether it was better to have a cabin on the Port or starboard side?
The itinery that we are looking for has St Thomas and St Maartin in it and i was wondering also if anyone knows as to whether the ship docks nose in or reverses in??

Can any one help...

Pros and cons please

Starboard: Better view of CC if the ship backs in as normal.

Can't answer your other questions as I have only done Westerns or Bahamas so far.

Yep...same here. We had a starboard room booked on the Dream last year and the view of CC was amazing. I always book a starboard side room now (even on the MR cruise...where it didn't matter ).

The Fantasy backed in at St. Thomas and CC, she pulled in at St. Maarten. The port at St. Maarten is U shaped and has a view on both sides. We were the only ship docked at St. Maarten, we were one of three in St. Thomas.

pictures of the views on Eastern Cruise in April, most of the pictures we took from Decks 11 & 13. Our stateroom was all the way forward so not much of a view.

Starboard side if you want a better view when docked at Castaway Cay. Otherwise, the water is just as blue on either side. We just got off the Fantasy and were port side and loved it.

If booking a verandah room, starboard side as you can see fireworks on Pirate Night from your verandah.

However, we got a letter on Pirate day reminding us to not have anything on our verandah and not be out on our verandah during the fireworks. Guess you can do it at your own risk.

I guess it is just personal preference but I really like the port side at CC. We have been on both sides (several times on starboard when we first started sailing Disney). Yes, you do look out at all the people and commotion at CC when starboard. Last sailing we were port side and had a wonderful time relaxing on the balcony seeing the occasional parasailer pass by with the beautiful calm water. I guess it just depends what you want. After a hectic day at CC, we really enjoyed the peace and quiet on the port side. Again, for whatever this is worth, we booked our next cruise on the port side. I doubt you will have the much of an issue regardless of he side you choose.
