Wink We have the QSDP and I don't drink soda -- will I waste away from thirst? LOL

Hello!

I am trying to understand the QSDP, and I think I've got a handle on the snacks thanks to the fabulous sticky thread but I am unsure what drinks I can order with a QSDP meal and have it count as the drink, rather than a snack. I realize this should be obvious, but I am really confused. I don't drink soda, so I'm interested in just the fountain lemonade, perhaps chocolate milk, bottled water...is this possible?

TIA!

Maria

Yes to the lemonade and bottled water. And I'm almost positive about the chocolate milk and most other bottled drink they have (OJ, etc)

You can get bottled water at any cs. Some have iced tea, lemonade, PowerAde, etc. I don't drink soda either, and had many things to choose from.

I think most (non-alcoholic) beverages from the beverage case are options. I've gotten Dasani and Smartwater in the past.

Me and DW never get soda and most times we get ice tea. I think this is available everywhere.

At the resorts they have a large selection of bottled beverages to choose from. Since you get a beverage with every meal and you'll have the refillable mug what you'll do is grab a bottled beverage with every meal (which you can save for later) and then use your refillable mug for your meal drink.

Have fun!

Like all the disers here have pointed out, you can always get bottled water in place of soda with your meals. A much healthier choice!

Wow, this is some great advice! Thanks so much for the tip about using the refillable mug for the meal and grabbing a bottled water for later. That will definitely come in handy! I am 88 days out, soaking up all the tips I can manage!

We do the standard DDP, and have eaten at QS places all over "the world".

I've NEVER ordered soda (and neither has my wife). Bottled water, lemonade, iced tea (our favorite), coffee, powerade, milk (regular and chocolate)...there's LOTS of choices.

Soda Water/Seltzer for beverage on DDP

I had the DDP and only drank soda once. I mostly got a bottled OJ or water for later and used my refillable mug for iced tea, hot chocolate, powerade.

One thing to be aware of if you drink seltzer/soda water is many places don't carry fountain seltzer especially in the Magic Kingdom Liberty Tree Tavern and World Showcase Chefs de France. They brought Perrier to the table and we were charged extra for it even though we didn't order another drink which was included in our meal.

Had I known that Perrier was extra ($4-$5 each glass) we wouldn't have ordered it. We were only told when the bill came that it wasn't included on the dining plan. I thought this was included as our beverage since it was non-alcoholic.

50's Prime Time Cafe had soda water as did Kona Cafe (no extra charge)

There are some great bottled juices, too. One that I really liked was a cran-raspberry and also a plain cranberry.

Some places let you have a smoothie as your drink. At CBR, we were allowed to have a smoothie as the beverage in their food court.

Oh, wow -- that would have floored me! I will definitely know to ask about the water before I order it -- Thank You!

A smoothie would be wonderful! I am going to be sure and ask, what a great idea.

Katsura Grill in Japan/World Showcase has Iced Green Tea as a quick service beverage. Unique and different from the regular soda choices
