Are you staying in the Village or elsewhere for this trip??

All I know is that JTA filled up VERY early! Any luck in that T is an early riser? He'll have to be there to sign up for it... A lot of people were lining up outside DHS as early as 5am - part were there so early to get the "fastpasses" for talent autographs and the others were lining up to queue up for JTA sign-ups.

You may consider hiring a cab that morning and avoid the buses altogether to get there early-early!

Reports have said that kids that dress up get noticed a bit more - so that may be a good card to have in your back pocket. You could easily take along his robe from his birthday party (LOVED the pool noodle idea - GENIUS!!!!) and some pants.

DH has sworn off ALL early mornings at WDW. I'm not about to try to get DS into JTA unless he and I go and leave DH and DD. Part of the reason I'm dying to get a villa at BWI is because DH said he'd be willing to shell out a bit more for a room to be closer. And if we're closer to DHS, he'd be more willing to get up a little early to get to the park.

Oh! Emmm! Gee!

I just looked through pinpics.com and found out that in order to complete ALL of the sets that we are actively looking for, we will need 114 pins.

We are staying at Give Kids the World. We will have a rental car to get around. That is about all I know right now

We are from the west coast so it will be tough getting up that early! But I am sure we can do it! I know Trev really wants to do Jedi Training. So hopefully we will be able to!

We really enjoyed planning Trev's birthday party this year. It was a lot of fun! And easy too We just had the party for my girls today and they pulled out the Jedi robes and light sabers and had an impromptu battle... My girls know more about Star Wars than I do!

Thanks for all the tips!

Jackie

I've been there. I lived in Santa Barbara/Ventura, CA for a few years. It killed me coming back home during the winter when there was a four hour time difference. Summer wasn't so bad since A) it was three hours and B) the sun being up really helped me get going.

My former student loved staying in the Village and I personally LOVE having a car. I haven't discussed it with DH yet, but I'll bet $50 that he'll want a rental. We wasted SO.MUCH.TIME. on the bus last time and we were all miserable. I gave the buses a good (positive) go in December and was again, disappointed. It KILLED ME that BWI shared a bus with the Swolphin. AND we had a horrible experience on the bus one night between one of the parks and POR... Needless to say, I'm in NO hurry to board a bus and lose time!

They have a series of trivia questions then a TINY section for free response.

While I think the trivia is a great idea, any fool can google the answer in a new browser... :

My guess is the 2nd round gets notified next week-ish?

AND...

I just won an auction on Ebay of someone's personal trading pin collection!

Granted I plan to keep some of them, but it'll still give us enough for all four of us to trade comfortably next May!

There was a Madame Mim pin I'm not letting go and a few pirate ones for DS and just a few princess ones for DD.

Can't wait until next week!!!

We are partying with Nemo today in celebration of DD's upcoming birthday.

We have to attend a wedding of a dear friend on her actual birthday, and the following weekend, so we have to party early this year.

Thing that DH and I aren't 100% even keel on is the number of treat bags I made up. I only did 15. I've had 13 kids RSVP and the party is today.

Is it mean of me to feel NOT sorry if I don't have enough if someone didn't RSVP?

And super exciting planning news!

Two DIFFERENT co-workers have asked me to help them plan trips for next year!

One group of them MAY be there the same time we're going!

I had a long response all typed out and the Dis chewed it up!

So.....the short version....

Stick to your guns on the Treat Bags.

Hope the timing works out for you and that colleague.

I had 1 bag to spare!

I think it'd be really cool to bump into them down in WDW!

DH and I did some preliminary restaurant bouncing and I came to the conclusion that MOST of the places we talked about are in EP...

So... to hop or not???

That IS the question!

FWIW... we discussed eating at San Angel (or that place in Mexico, per DH), Teppan Edo, Le Cel, Akershus, and Garden Grill at EP. Hollywood and Vine (if/when Jake and his crew take over), Boma, CP...

We DID decide that we have no interest in eating at BoG. At all. We aren't keen on French cuisine so that stop is officially off the menu so to say.

Kwitch - I would hop. It just gives you the flexibility to move to a different park for those EMHs - morning or night. And my family is the same. We love the food at Epcot; so we always seem to end up in that park most nights for dinner.
