The time of the reservation has no bearing as to when you can enter. When we were there a month ago, they opened up the dessert party and let us in at 8:40. I had a 9:20 reservation time. Again, all seats are preassigned, so it has no matter to when you arrive.

Not sure if it was a type-o but they do not serve beer at the dessert party.

Yes it was a typo due to the joyous autocorrect on my IPad I know the MK is dry. Thanks for the answer to my question. I figured that was the answer but just wanted to check.

As far the ADR times, I think Disney just gives times out so everyone doesn't come at the same time. What I think was nice, was getting there early, checking everything out and sitting down relaxing and enjoying the company of everyone in your party. It was a relaxing end to the day. Oh and trying out all the different desserts Yum!!!

I just booked this for myself and 2 DDs, 9 and 6, for our girls only trip in August. We plan to be at the MK all day and I thought this would be a fun treat for us all.

My concern is that after Wishes we will have trouble getting out of MK and the the bus to take us back to POP. Can you stay until some of the crowd clears out on Main Street or do they ask you to exit as soon as Wishes is over?

Question: Last year we did the DP on our MVMCP night(the only night it was offered while we are there) do you think itll be offered during parties this year? I saw the schedule of potential days and wondering if its offered every night of the week and they just had all the party nights crossed off? I would really like to go to this again

No! We went in 2010 and again in 2011. We found the best thing to do was to head back to the buffet area the instant Wishes ended and grab another round of cold beverages, then sit and drink them while the 'traffic jam' clears. The food is pretty much gone - I think they don't re-stock the tables once Wishes starts, although you may be able to grab a few cookies for the kids - but we stayed at least 10 more minutes and in 2011 noticed a number of other parties did the same. It's not like you're going to miss the bus home. They'll be running back-to-back busses for the next hour or so, to clear out the crowd.

Thanks!! Going as a "single" parent this trip, I didn't want to be pushed out into the masses with 2 tired kiddos.

Some nights, especially the EHM nights, they run the parade and the memories show a 2nd time after the 10pm showing. You're able to sit back and enjoy

Also, on some occasions...(happened to us), when we left the party, we were escorted to the "non-staged area" of MK, and brought us out at Tony's town square area. It made leaving extremely easy, no crowds!

Gotta love auto-correct!! I'll have to admit though to sneaking some Bailey's Irish Cream to my coffee when we went in December (had a little airline size bottle in my purse from the flight), it was so stinking cool outside, it helped warm us up little! Shhhhhhhhh, don't tell!!

I just booked for August 17 last week. Hope we get a "good" table and I can't wait for those desserts! We're pigging out that day, first seating for breakfast at CP, late lunch at Yak & Yeti, then Wishes Dessert Party. We'll be the 3 penguins you see waddling back to the bus!

Congratulations on your August booking. I have heard from many that it's best to eat on the early side...depending on the number of desserts you choose to eat.
My wife and i will generally have our main meal of the day by 3pm, and maybe a small snack later in the evening before the dessert party. We don't pig out so to speak, but the desserts are filling.

That's why I planned a late lunch at Y&Y. We as a rule don't eat breakfast ever except for Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day (seriously), but we have been wanting to go to CP for breakfast for years but never got around to it. So we'll go and enjoy it, plus take some pictures of the castle and Main Street before the thundering herds descend. Then around 2:30/3:00 go to "The Yak" for lunch. No desserts or snacking in between the 2 meals. Those pictures that were posted looked awesome, and I saw some chocolate covered strawberries with my name on them.

We currently have a ADR for Crystal Palace at 5, is that too late? Should I change to 3:30/4?

This will be our first time for the Dessert Party. I showed the girls the pictures at the beginning of this thread and they are very excited.
