There will be dessert parties during MNSSHP, but you MUST buy a ticket to the MNSSHP in order to go to the Dessert Party. Both parties incur an additional cost on top of normal admission to the park

I was aware of needing a separate ticket for MNSSHP, thanks We're going with a 1 y/o in our party, so we will likely only have one later night. We did the dessert party with her on this last trip (also the only night we saw fireworks), and it was very nice. It was great to not have to deal with crowds for a place to watch the parade, and to have a place to stop and get some dessert and such. We're going with my ILs in October (went with my family last month), and I think they'd enjoy the experience too..just wanted to make sure I could combine them!

I assume teh boo to you parade has similar timing to MSEP, so it would happen around the same time the terrace opens? I wonder if it's feasible to check in to the dessert party/get the wrist band, have a few desserts, then go watch the parade and return before Hallowishes? Or would it be better to wait for the rush of people to leave after Hallowishes (is the rush then?) and see the 2nd parade? Or if we're planning on seeing hte 2nd parade, should we plan to have grandparents take DD back to the room after Hallowishes (they've already offered to give us some nighttime time to ourselves)?

I've never been to the MNSSHP. Perhaps someone who has can answer better for you.

Do you sign in on the Plaza side of Terrace or the Tomorrowland side of the Terrace?
The Tomorrowland side. Right around the corner from The Laugh Floor. If you come out of the Laugh Floor go to your left and you won't miss it. The check in podium is on the Tomorrowland side.

Just got some information for those asking about max attendance and stuff.
Maximum attendance allowed is 210. We were at the party tonight and there were 34 tables out, with varying numbers of chairs throughout. The castmember i spoke with said there was an attendance of 190 tonight. I'll post pictures soon...took some tonight, but also have the dessert party again Monday.

Hello all. I have a question. Do they give you time to see the parade before going in for your seat at the party? I'd like to go to the party but really want to see the parade just as much. Do the give your assigned table away if you're not seated by a certain time? Thanks!

We could actually see the parade pretty well from the dessert party.

They will not take your table away, the tables are per-assigned. I'll have pictures later this week to show you the view of the parade from the party location

Our IP told us no Dessert Parties during MNSSHP nights. Also, tink does not fly on those nights, either.

Just going with what I was told by our Intinerary planner when we put it on our schedule for a MNSSHP night..that it is NOT offered then.

That drives me nuts. I have 6 kids. Yes 6 kids and I only allow my teenagers to get things on their own at the buffet. I think anyone under the age of 12 should be taken up there and told over and over and over and over to not touch anything, don't get too close and not to talk over the food.

I tell mine over and over and over and over. Not because they do any of those things but so it's grilled in their heads.

I also agree 45 minutes wouldn't be too late;

Oh and if I can add this, parents, please supervise your children at the dessert table. We saw some starting to handle many of the items on the tables, not too sanitary. Ok, off my soap box now

For as much as you pay they should be replenishing the desserts until it's over and everyone leaves.

As far as getting there early, once the desserts are gone, they're gone! Also, most eat dessert before watching the shows.
The party starts with 3 tables of desserts. In the 2 I have attended, one half a table was left with food, basically cookies or brownies. So, getting there earlier assures you'll get a good sampling of desserts

Edit to add... some have seen the desserts replenished
