BOG for lunch vs dinner?

Anyone been to both and care to compare? I actually think that the lunch menu looks good, but are wine are wine and beer available? You do no get to see the Beast, correct? Any other differences?

No wine, beer or beast at lunch.
Menus are different for lunch and dinner.
At lunch you seat yourself so you can choose the room to dine in.
You can refill your own drinks at lunch.
You don't need a reservation for lunch.

We've done both lunch and dinner. I would choose just one meal based on the differences in the meal service and which of these differences you want to experience.

There are differences between the two meals. The entrees are different, but the soups are the same (there are some additional appetizers at dinner) and the desserts are pretty much identical. At lunch the carts that are used to bring your food to the table are the same ones that are used at dinner for the dessert presentation so you'll get to see the carts. Also, unlike most CS, at BOG even at lunch your food will be served on china and you'll have regular stainless (no paper plates or plastic utensils). Beverages, however, are in self-serve paper cups so you can go back for re-fills.

The other major difference is that only at dinner do you have a photo op with the Beast after you finish dining and at dinner you can order beer or wine.

If you're more interested in seeing the interior, you can walk through all the rooms at both meals. One advantage at lunch is you can usually choose your own table and room.

We liked lunch better. It was a more relaxing meal because we could eat at our own pace while at dinner it was so busy our server rushed us through the meal. Although the ballroom is beautifully designed and decorated, its sheer size made it feel more appropriate to a CS venue which it is at lunchtime.

If seeing the Beast or ordering alcohol is important than go for dinner. If you're mainly curious about the interior of the restaurant and the lunch menu appeals, then have lunch.

Such a thorough response. Thank you!

Been to both multiple times, much prefer dinner.

No Beast or alcohol at lunch.

Lunch is usually kind of chaotic, they have all 3 rooms open for you to choose a place to sit. Food quality is not as great, I usually end up ordering from the kids menu as I don't like the sound of most of the lunch menu.

Dinner I've found to be much better, the ambiance is quieter and more relaxed (somehow), you do not get to choose where you sit, although you can request a specific area (expect to wait for the west wing though, as the room is much smaller)

I MUCH prefer the dinner menu, rack of lamb, pork chop, steak and ratatouille are all amazing and delicious. Desserts are just as fantastic, same as lunches though. Grey stuff is available all day, at lunch on/in a cupcake, and at dinner as the topping on a cookie type thing. Option to order beer & wine great too!

Overall, I prefer dinner, and do think it's worth the cost!
