Thanks! I'll look into the resource. I'm actually doing quite well getting around I'd say. My walker works fine and I can do the two stairs to get in and out of the house. Getting in the car isn't fun but I can manage it. We did different timing, I had mine done before Food and Wine so I could use this vacation as motivation to get walking well enough to do SOME walking while at Epcot. My second knee will be done in December. I'm not so afraid of that now that I've had this one done and lived through the first week to tell about it. My second knee is scheduled for Dec 17th so today would be equivalent to Dec 24th in the healing process for my next one. DH and I decided I probably won't be going to church on Christmas Eve this year and may not get to the family Christmas gathering, either. We'll see. With that one, I'll have one "good" knee already replaced and the "bad" knee just operated on. Right now, I still have two "bad" knees to be dealing with.

Back on topic, I'm going to try to get us into Irvine's Kitchen Memories and then also see him at PFTS. I think he's been there at least the last 2 years that we've gone and always has something great for us to eat.

We did this last year and it was one of our favorite events! We were at the very first one they had... opening weekend last year. The tequila was not served as shots, but in small wine glasses with each course. Hubby and I had never experienced this many different "flavors" in tequila, nor had we considered pairing it in place of wine with a meal. We truly enjoyed the experience and would attend again this year if we were able to attend the festival.

Another event that we really enjoyed last year was the Italian regional lunch at Tuto Italia. It was a very friendly, fun lunch, and the food and wine pairings were "spot on" that afternoon. The luncheon was in a large private room at the back of the restaurant, and the atmosphere reminded me of a more informal version of a "mini" signature dinner... lots of interaction between the attendees and the presenter.

Ahhhhh, reminiscing really makes me so sad that we can't go this year! I had my schedule ready to dial in the AM, but we found out just today that we can no longer attend. Though, like I told a friend earlier, it's better that we found out today rather than tomorrow... after we had already purchased event tickets!!!

same here. it'll be difficult for me to do either phone call or website because 7am is when i will be commuting to work. i wonder if it will make a big difference if i do it at 7:45 when i get to work????
