You can pass your ticket off to somebody else once you pick it up. But if you are not there to pick the ticket up, it's registered under your name, so they would have to give your name. I'm trying to remember if we needed ID to pick them up last year. I know the bigger ticketed events are not supposed to be transferable.

The way that ticket pick-up works is that you go to a desk in the Festival Center any time after it opens on the day of your demo or seminar. You have to show an ID such as a drivers license. They look you up on a list, check you off, and give you tickets. The tickets do not have your name on them.

Once you have your tickets, you could give them to someone else.

The question is, how would it work if you want somebody else to pick up and use your tickets?

You could try to call Disney Dining and have a second name added to your demo or seminar reservations and have that person pick up the tickets, but I don't know if they would do that for you.

Do you find the Mixology Seminars to be worth the price? $14 seems like a lot money for tiny drinks and a sales pitch.

Back when distilled spirits seminars were free and lumped in with other beverage seminars, the amount served was miniscule. I didn't try the paid Mixology Seminars last year.

It's $12 with the discount. It was $11 with the discount last year. I did three of them. The amount served was not miniscule. You got three regular size cocktails. The kind that you'd pay $12 for just one of them in the resort bars. The ones they pass out won't have the fancy garnish and stuff the mixologist might put on the one they make onstage.

I don't know what they do now, but I know that a few years ago, I cancelled a "deminar" a few days ahead of time when my knee just wouldn't let me walk over from BCV to the festival center any more. I told them that I knew it was non-refundable, which they agreed it was, but that I wouldn't be there so they could give my ticket away or whatever they wanted. Well, much to my surprise there was a credit on my next credit card bill for the cost. Unexpected and nice!

We also thought they were worthwhile (did Belvedere, Remy and another one I can't recall). They are a better value than the wine seminars.

There was one Mixology seminar last year that was a huge hit. The presenter was funny, poured generous drinks and gave away barware to everyone. I just don't remember who it was. We weren't there.

I'm so all over this! What fun! The brochure you posted says they happen daily at 6 pm. I've read so much, did that info change? I printed off the brochure you posted.

GEEZ, I remember wen all the "deminars" were free (this will be our 14th year attending)...Yes, we stood in line but we met so many nice folkes!!!! Now we fret over the privilege of paying $14 for a thimble of wine.... and a morsel of food...didn't attend any last year and not planning to this year....but still going to PFTS

Usually three small pours of wine, served in real wine glasses.

The only food at the wine seminars is a packet of crackers to nibble on make your mouth ready for the next taste of wine.

Oh yeah...standing in the sun only to discover that since the staff let their "Friends" stay in the seats you weren't going to get in regardless of the fact that you were "within the seating' limit for the line. That was great!



I posted my thoughts earlier, but "free" seemed to lead to "abuse".

I have no problem with them charging.

(I do have a problem with the incredibly rude staff so I didn't do any last year after pitching a fit for a refund the year prior.... we will see about 2012)

All Member Services can book on 8/10 is the Wine/beverage seminars and the food demos. THe "special" events can't be booked then so 3D Desert has to wait until the 14th.

On the 10th you have to call Member Services (no idea who this "concierge" host is suppose to be...)

On the 14th you call Disney.

Is there ANY way they could make this more confusing... Oh wait, there is! Some events can be booked on line on the 14th, but not all

Just a heads up. I had to call about a reservation update and was told MS would be open 1 hour early to field deminar reservation calls.

How long do they take? Will we have time to do them before PFTS and/or 3D??
