I'm going bonkers trying to keep up with all the ptrs and trs and you want me to do one of my own! !!!

Have to run and then hopefully get some embroidery done for Amy.

I also need a dress for Alexa for her piano recital -- I need to see what's in her closet and pray she has some dress shoes that fit. I really don't want to make a dressy dress but I really don't want to buy her one that she will likely wear only once either.

Anyhoo, must run -- I am doing a 45 minute interview for the Navy Exchange and getting a $20 gift card for my time And then I have to stop at the sewing store to buy some stabilizer to do a few more shirts for Amy -- then I need to package up a BG and get that to the PO. Too bad the Exchange doesn't sell stabilizer! I'll just hang on to my gift card for when I really need it -- maybe for BTS supplies -- see school isn't even out yet and I'm already planning for the fall -- I like to get my shopping done early! We have fairly non-coventiional lists though being a Montessori school, but we still have standard things like composition books and copy paper.

I LOVE doing surveys for gift cards! You KNOW I like things done early, makes me crazy last minute...God has a sense of humor, because He is always trying to refine that in me!

It's kind of a funny thing on the time it takes to drive to Disneyland. If it is just Scotty and I we can make it in a little than 7 hours because we don't stop much. Last trip he and I stopped once to get gas, eat and take care of the restroom.

When the kids were little the same trip took over nine hours. As soon as our daughter Kody learned how to read rest area she "needed" to stop at every one. She could add more than an hour to a trip. I started getting bad and telling her that every other one was closed.

This next time will probably take 8 hours. It's all good! I am oing to my happy place.

When is it and what size is she? I might have one!

It's June 8. I still haven't looked in her closet yet! I know I have a pale pink dress in there but I think it's a 6x and may therefore be too short. She is a sort of a size 7/8 as we need that for length, but she still fits into smaller sizes because she is skinny. She is going to look miniature next to Lisa -- Lisa will look about 5 years older than Alexa even though they are less than a year apart. For shoes she wears a size 2 -- I think she has a black patent leather pair that are a size 2 but don't think those would work with the pale pink dress. Anyway, I really have to look and have to have her try on the dress -- I picked it up at a yard sale (friends we know so it is in perfect shape and clean) as I like to always have a dressier dress on hand, but she so rarely wears them. I can't even remember what she wore for Easter b/c she spent most of the time in her swim suit. I will possibly buy her sandals depending on what works out for the dress. I will let you know if I need you to look through the girl's old dresses. Thank you for the offer -- it would really help if I need to take you up on it.

We always get places MUCH quicker without the children...of course, as we get older, we need the bathroom more than them!

Lisa used to be REALLY skinny until last January. Ever since she has had hypertension she is swollen a lot of the time. She IS tall though. They are going to be cute together, all of Lisa's friends are smaller than her unless they are older than her. How do you feel about hand me down clothes?

We LOVE hand me downs! I used to get them from a neighbor, but she moved I also yard sale shop -- I go to nicer neighborhoods and make sure the home is non-smoking. That's where the dress I have is from (though I also happened to know the person as she was a friend of a friend). I still haven't had Alexa try it on but it is a 6x so it may be short. I will have her try it on soon!

Lisa is going to tower over Alexa. Alexa is 51 3/4 inches and weights 54 pounds. Alexa can still wear shirts that are size small -- I think they would look like crop tops on Lisa (you know, the lovely Dora look ). Alexa has a friend almost two years younger than her and she is a skinny little girl too but I can't even give her hand me downs as she wears the same size as Alexa. I was finally able to give her two pairs of shoes recently, but normally they wear the same size. Alexa is supposed to be 5'8" tall but I have a hard time believing that. She's not short, but she certainly isn't tall.

We have a 5th grader at our school that size wise reminds me of Lisa -- Alexa is good friends with her and the two of them kind of look like the odd couple together because the 5th grader looks older due to her height.

I did notice how much Lisa has grown with the pics you have been posting of her when she was younger. Does she get growing pains at all? My ds used to but he's growing much slower now so never complains anymore.

And I promise, no matter how much ice cream you give Alexa for breakfast, she won't gain a pound! Give me a bowl and I'll gain 9 lbs!

Andrea, I was exactly like Alexa....in the class photos I was always the smallest one....didn't have my "growth spurt" until 7th-8th grade...my DB always called me chicken I had such skinny arms and legs....well I kept the skinny arms, but the rest just got to hate having the slower metabolism (sp) as we get older...maybe we can have fat-free, sugar -free sorbets while the girls eat the ice cream

I wil have you a box when you come to visit...Alexa might have to wait to wear them, but at least she MIGHT be able to get some use out of them.I might have some dress shoes, Lisa wears a size 4. Her dress shoes are hardly ever worn, because her leg brace will not fit in them and she is typically in her W/C if she has them on and walking of any distance is involved. Definitely a smoke free home...but not pet free, as you know.

My Mom is very short and her best friend in school was very tall...she calls it the "mutt and Jeff look."

If she gets growing pains, I would never know it. She has only ever come to me a handful of her times in her life and EVER complained of any type of pain. David and Christian used to get those and Rachel did a few times as well. Lisa was very upset when she jumped from a size 7/8 to a 14 in a month's time...she now consistently wears a child's XL to a ladies small now. She is quite active and does NOT overeat. IN fact it makes me happy when she DOES eat...
And I promise, no matter how much ice cream you give Alexa for breakfast, she won't gain a pound! Give me a bowl and I'll gain 9 lbs!
All I have to do is THINK about ice cram and I gain 10...I have always been that way though....

I have never had ANYTHING skinny on me, Nope, I am having Ice cream...how often does THAT happen??? Well, we DID do it once since we got home...it was when Lisa came home from the hospital in Philadelphia...

Swiss Family Robinson Tree house.

Ben does a high and tight flat top -- rubbing his hair is one of my favorite things to do! David still looks really different to me -- Christian is Christian no matter how you look at him, but David has changed.

Pet home *gasp* ~ our dogs and cats will love the clothes
