What airline are you flying out of Manchester? We live in VT, and are trying to decide whether to fly out of Manchester, Albany NY, or Burlington. Prices aren't released yet for Southwest for our dates, but they seem to be the cheapest, with no change fees.
Thanks for any info! Cora |

We have paid for our trip over the last 5 years in parts.
10 day adult park hopper tickets x 4 = ? don't remember, bought from undercover tourist in 2008 - maybe $1000 or a bit less Jet Blue round trip NY - Orlando , 4 tickets = $1200 Food and daily expenses = $250/day = $2500 = Disney Gift cards earned with Visa DDRD's, purchased over the last 5 years and received as gifts. Resort $220/night for 3 adults, 1 child = DH, DW, DS over the age of 18 @$25 per night, and DD under the age of 18. Town Car Service = $115 Grand Total about $7000 Or $700 a day for resort, transportation, food, tickets, and souvenirs.

"mousemommy1" you did real well we have the same trip 4people (2 teens) WL free dining 10 day tickets with water park no hopping this year as we dont use enough (I might add it later when we get there if MK is Mehh due to construction) $4500 +900 air from boston. You got a better room CL with a discount can I say I wish I was you.
Next april cruise on the other hand thats a different story. Talk about out of hand. I will avoid that week next time. $7500 cruise air ect. Way... to much money. My only thought was kids going into high school and just a few more trips. First trip to WDW 2003 with kids air hotel tickets ect $1500 total. WOW makes a difference when kids are adults. |

We do spend $ on trips as I very rarely buy gifts for the kids anymore. 12 & 14 I would rather give them a memory. I did a test with them one year. Name 2 or 3 of the gifts you got for Christmas last year. One could the other could not come up with even 1. That was the last year. Now if you ask them they would say wdw this year. I wrapped a balloon to come out of a box. Next year it is the cruise. Maybe a small gift or two but very cheap ie under $20 total. I was actually thinking of excursions on vacation ie fishing in Bay lake or something. The only way I can get DH to go now is to stay at deluxe. He was fine with value for years (5) but once he had the taste of deluxe I could never get him to go back.

When the kids were little we only did value. We stayed at 3 or 4. I thought they were great mostly. DH wanted to try WL once you try it you may not ever want value again. It is surprising how much more relaxing the trip is. Enjoy your trip. When do you go? We are there end Aug

No matter what I do the trips always end up around 5000.
Free dining, AP's, YES tickets, Renting points, Discount codes.. still ends up at 5000. However what I do with that 5000 is the key. We always find a way to go during value season. If we save money on tickets we stay at a nicer resort. If we save money by getting YES tickets and renting DVC points we stay longer or get the deluxe dining plan. The trip is always 10 days or more, and we usually throw in Universal as well. We got AP's this year for Disney and Universal, so with that savings we are bringing dd's friend and paying for everything for her. The 5000 covers everything for four of us.. and this time 5 of us. Tickets for Disney and Universal, onsite at Universal, room at Disney, food, tips, souvenirs, flight, rental car. I could spend less on some trips, but that seems to be the benchmark and I manage to spend right up to it most of the time.

Last two trips were 2 adults, 1 infant. Now our infant is 4 so she's a ticket. Last 2 trips I was able to keep it at $2000 for everything (including air). Coming from the Pacific NW, not too shabby!
This year: 2 adults, 1 child and 1 infant. Mid November 8 days @ POP century 6 day park hopper ticket Free Quick Service Dining (yay!) Total Package: $1811 2 free plane tickets from SW w/points (one ticket purchased at $375) Total Cost is about $2200 but also using a $400 credit I've saved up on my travel card so only about $1800 out of pocket (or $2000 if we do MVMCP). Got it back down to my $2000 goal, yay!!!

I feel a bit like I didn't get a very good deal somehow... (booked through Disney).
Sept 17-26 3 adults POP Century 9 day MYW tickets Free Dining (that we upgraded to deluxe dp) Preferred room $3,500 (this does not include airfare-2 of us are coming from Alberta, Canada and one from Aus) Does that seem high to anyone else (especially since free dining)? |

![]() We are going in July this year. I know it's going to be hotter than Hades. We were supposed to go in Feb but the trip got pushed back because of DH mil duties. The good thing is that what would have been a 7 night trip in a mod, was able to morph into a 10 night stay at WL CL, because of the time of year. ![]() We are practically neighbors, BTW!! We are in Southern NH. about 20 mins from mass. Border
