Just booked out trip for Nov 25 - 30 2012. Hopefully we can add the Free dining when it becomes available. We are a family of four. Me, my husband and two children Roselyn (9yrs) and John (7 yrs). We have stayed on site twice before this trip. The first at POP five yrs ago and the second at Caribbean three yrs ago. I choose POFQ because of all the rave reviews on this thread. I like that is smaller and has the boat to DTD. We really loved the pool at Caribbean but we really don't think we will use it as much because of the time of year.

Look forward to getting to know everyone here.

Taxi fares?

We're staying at FQ in October and thought we might use a taxi to get to some of our ADRs like Chef Mickey's and Kona in the morning.

Any idea how much one way trips run?

Thanks!

Somewhere in the $15 region I would expect.

This will seem a silly question, but we have never taken a cab anywhere before. Will a cab comfortably hold four adults? This is the first time we will have flown to WDW and we have two early breakfast ADRs. Thanks!

There are vans available but I would mention it the night before to be sure there is one on site when you need it. If not you can sit 3 in the back of the cab and one in front but a little tight depending on the adults.

But if you think how much your meal plus tip will cost you, is an extra $15 for a taxi wildly out of the question?

But one of the things we like so much about Kona for breakfast is that you get such a generous plate of tasty food for a very reasonable price. I would only take a taxi there if we were really pressed for time.

We'll be at POFQ in late August. A few quick questions:

1. We have garden view. If we happen to be facing the courtyard where the movies are being shown nightly, will the sound be able to be heard in the room? I just want to make sure this won't be a problem.

2. For the pool slide, are there any height/age restrictions or can any child go on it?

3. Is any store bought swim-vest OK and can they be used on the slide? From the portorleans.org site: "Safety devices permitted at Walt Disney World resort pools: Walt Disney World approved flotation devices, which must be securely attached and supervising adults must remain within arms reach of the person using the device. Life jackets are available at the resorts".

4. Yet another pool question - are "noodles" permitted? My DS4 has just gotten comfortable in the water and will only "swim" while leaning on one.

Coffee makers? Does any one have a picture of one? I prefer to bring my own coffee and need to see what I need to bring. Thanks~

Booked a four nighter at POFQ after a change in plans. We leave on the 18th. Can't wait.

Doing DHS/AK first day. MK and Epcot second day. Blizzard Beach and Downtown Disney the last day.

Haven't been there since the remodel
