I run a 50/50 mix of white vinegar and water through mine. Never tried lemon - but I assume that would work well too!

FYI, many coffee makers have a filter that should be removed first and some higher end coffeemakers can be harmed by solutions other than what is recommended. To be safe always check your manual (or online) for cleaning instructions for your model first.

I use a half and half vinegar/water mix. I would never use bleach.

I don't eat onions-they squelch when you bite into them
I don't eat raisins-they look like dried up bugs
Can we say food issues?

I have used vinegar, but also I get the coffe maker cleaner sold right next to them in most stores. It actually seems to do a better job. You do have to rinse it mulitple times either way.
