Is it September yet???

For the past 6 years, my favorite saying has been "Is it September yet?"

That is because that is when I take my vacation... and of those 6 vacations 5 of them are Disney Vacations.... No better place to go!

I usually go with just my Mother... one year my brother, my best friend and her family joined us.... but none of them can go again.

Now, My Mother can't join me.... last year she got extremely sick and spent a week in the hospital at the end of our stay. This past February, she suffered cardiac arrest and we almost lost her... By the GRACE of GOD she is still alive... However, she is not well enough to go on vacation. She insists that I go without her... but has arranged for her sister, my aunt, to go with me. My Aunt is 75 and the only time she has ever been to Disney World was the year it opened!!! So this trip will be all new to her.... all the plans are made and the tickets bought.

I am a night owl, I have to be since I work 3rds... that plays into my plans..

Here is my itinerary... feel free to comment, suggest or just join in.

Friday September 7th - Sleep, pack car, and hit the road... anywhere from 10pm to Midnight. Pick up Aunt... and drive through the night.

Saturday September 8th - Stop for breakfast (probably around Chattanooga)... Continue on to Macon Georgia where we will stop and rest for the night... We usually arrive here between 1pm to 3pm... could go further but feel getting rested up is preferable to being closer.

Sunday September 9th - Check out of hotel and continue on to WDW. We shall arrive at Port Orleans Riverside around 1pm to 3pm. Check-in to our room, get settled, maybe a nap (probably not for me)... Go to Beach Club... Cape May Cafe for our 5:45pm adr .... considering driving there as had issues with the bus last time.

Monday September 10th - Disney Hollywood Studios
dinner adr at Hollywood and Vine at 4pm.... this is a fantasmic package.

Tuesday September 11th - Animal Kingdom
late lunch at Rainforest Cafe at 2pm
Most people feel AK is a short day, but I love this park... but since it closes earlier than the rest I chose it this day....
That evening will be attending my first ever MNSSHP (will get into costume ideas later)

Wednesday September 12th - Will be back at Magic Kingdom.. this time for the whole day. Dinner Adr at Crystal Palace at 6:05pm.

Thursday September 13th - Epcot... this is my least favorite park, but still enjoy it... Dinner Adr at Coral Reef at 6pm.

Friday September 14th - UP in the air!!!! Decided to let my Aunt choose which park she would like to repeat. We have dinner ADR at the resort restaurant... Boatwrights at 8pm.

Saturday September 15th - Pack up and head home.... stop when we feel like it....

Those are the plans... any imput???

Got my MNSSHP tickets!!!! Going on Sept 11th.

I am trying to figure out how to implement some ideas I have for my costume.. here is the gist of it...

I will be dressed in my pjs, with a robe on that has MICKEY embroidered on it... with matching slippers (the kind with indoor/outdoor soles)

I will be riding on a scooter... I am gonna make the scooter look like a bed. This is the part that I have got to figure out how to do. I have a box covered in faux wooden contact paper that I will slide on the seat for the headboard... I have a small quilt to use on the bed portion, but need to figure out how to support it up where it won't interfere with the tiller.

I also have a nightlight and going to have a book spread in front of me... the book I plan on using is like a "Where's Waldo", but it stars Mickey and Friends.

Any feedback on this?

I figured out something on making my bed-scooter.....

I was sitting in the living room and spotted this cat gym that we have had for a couple of years... it is made of plastic tube frame. The red thing in the middle is long since gone as is the lower hammock and the dangling toys.

It would be perfect to lift the blanket up around the tiller... I have a flat box that I can attach on top if it comes to that but I think this thing will work!!!

I love the idea you have for your costume. DH and I are planning to go on Sept 11th. I'll have no problem spotting you, and I will make sure to say hello. We usually do at least 2 MNSSHP. But this year we are only doing one. We are hoping to do the Halloween party at Universal this year.
I hope your mother is well. She sounds like a very special person.

Sounds like you have your plans all set. Where else are you planning to eat? Any rides a must-do? We need details!
