Character Breakfast on the Fantasy

For those who have been on the Fantasy, is there a character breakfast on any of the days? I know the Dream cruises don't have one but we were hoping that the 7 day cruises on the Fantasy would have them. TIA

It has been reported that the Fantasy will not have character breakfasts...there is not enough restaurant space or staff to accommodate the large number of passengers.

That's too bad; we were really hoping they would have them. Thanks for the info.

Yes. There was another whole thread recently about the lack of Character Breakfasts. A lot of people seem willing to pay extra to be able to sign up for one. Maybe Disney will consider this in the future....that's why the comment cards are so important. Make sure you tell them what you think on those cards...they do listen (sometimes, at least).

I read somewhere on here that they might try it again in May. Not sure where I read it, who posted it, or where they got that information from but would be great if they had it worked out by the end of June!

How can this be correct when they have the same amount of space and staff for dinner?

For dinner, there are 3 restaurants running at the same time....plus the 2 adults ones. For Character Breakfasts, they only use 1 restaurant (Parrot Key on the classics). Plus, the restaurant space is bigger on the bigger ships, and the characters would have a hard time getting to everyone in the one-hour breakfast slot.

I have a feeling that is the line they were told to tell. On the magic and wonder you have one assigned breakfast day, you don't get to choose. Now if you don't want to have to deal with large numbers of people, you can do as they do with alice's teas and do a sign up. but i wou'dnt be willing to pay more for the character breakfast and I hope noone is suggesting things like that to diseny. Character interactions are one of the things that makes disney special. Btw your servers are the same ones you have in the dining room, so it could be that it would take them away from woring breakfast at cabanas or one of the other dining rooms.

Actually logistically it would be hard for them to do it. The restarantes sit more guests and on the classic ships the characters already have a hard enough time getting around to the tables. To do it on the Fantasy breakfast would be way longer and an hour is already pretty long considering most tables are done eating before all the characters have made it.

I could be wrong but I am not even sure if they had the Alice Tea on the fantasy I do not think I saw anything about it.

If Disney deceides one day to do a breakfast and charge for it, It would not bother me because it is not something you have to do and you know people will pay for it, they are a buisness after all.

I talked to my travel agent that sailed last month on the fantasy and she said that they suspended it in April but are going to try LATER. I don't know what that means?

IIRC, they offered it on the classic ships that have at least 2 sea days. Perhaps they could offer it on the Fantasy when there is 3 sea days to keep the #s lower and more managable.

Sure they can have more staff for the food end of it, but there can't be 2 or 3 Mickey's circling the 1 room. That is unless they offer it in 2 restaurants with 2 Mickeys but just don't fill all the tables. Maybe AP & RP (or whatever it's called on the Fantasy) simultaneously.
