I tend to go bagless. We only carried a bag one day this past time and I hated it and will never do it again. I carry the bare minimum in my pockets and hubby's pockets. Generally:

Key to the World Card/Hotel key card/charge card
Driver's license
Photopass card
cell phone
camera (clipped onto my belt loop)
About $20 cash (we always charge everything to our room)

And that's it. I am very, very bare minimum.

I carry chap stick, sun block, small camera, water bottle, wallet, comb, and maybe short and t-shirt if we are going on a water ride.

I really don't like carrying a bunch of stuff and this coming trip I am leaving my phone in the room!

In addition to the other great suggestions, one thing I wish I'd had in my bag on one trip with a needle and thread! I was at Typhoon Lagoon, and plastic fastener on the back of my swimsuit broke! (Luckily, it was just an "extra" strap across the back of my suit, not the main strap holding up my suit!) Luckily, I did have a safety pin, but what I wouldn't have given for a needle and thread!

(Edited to add: I did have to buy a small sewing kit at the gift shop at POR to fix my swim suit later in the day, and it cost about $8 for what amounted to one needle and thread! So that's one thing I always bring on trips now.)

For the person who brings an iPad, do you find you use it? My husband wants to bring his for the touring plans, but I want to go old school and actually print them out (gasp!). "but what about the ride wait times on the magic guide app?" he asks?

Personally, I think he'll get withdrawal if he doesn't bring it! But it might get stolen! Or break! Or something! Any suggestions?

I like the Vera mini hipster or bags of that size..just enough to fit what I need. Glasses, key cards, some cash, camera, phone, and hand sanitizer.

My DH carries a rather sturdy North Face backpack that we've lugged across the country. It has lots of pockets and it's waterproof. Inside, he's responsible for:
-Rain jackets
-Spare undies {you just never know}
-His medical kit {he's CPR certified}
-Water bottles
-Homemade granola
-KTW cards
-Asprin, Benadryl, hair ties, and sunscreen

I carry a cross body camera bag that holds our Nikon, all the lenses, and our cell phones. This bag is waterproof, too.

In my 31 organizing shoulder crossbody bag I typically carry 2 ponchos, id wallet thing (made by vera bradley, it's a godsend) bentyl (darn IBS), advil, some kind of candy if my sugar would drop, camera, iphone4, chapstick with spf, compact and bobby pins..

DBF carries a nike drawstring bag, which we put frozen water, lanyard w/pins, his wallet, reservation numbers, ponchos, sunscreen, etc

We took our iPad and forgot and left it in the truck. Got back to truck later that day to find the iPad gone! We don't know how someone got in the truck(as it was still locked) and no sign of the break in . Whatever you do,don't leave it in the car! We we're very upset!

I use a crossbody bag. All items that are not waterproof are packed into ziploc bags first.

Flip flops in a grocery bag (to wear on the water rides, have a water proof bag for tennis shoes)
extra pair of socks
Wallet – with drivers license, insurance card, KTTW card, 30 cash
Glasses cases w/sunglasses (and eyeglass repair kit, since I wear glasses)
Hand sanitizer/Hand sanitizer wipes
Makeup wipes
Washcloth (from home, not hotel)
Bobble/Drink packs for water
All travel-size: tissue, hand lotion, dental floss, deodarant, sunscreen
Camera/Cell phone
Baseball cap
Poncho(s) (for rain and/or water rides)
Blister bandaids/reg bandaids
Wishing everyone a day full of smiles.

As my DS and I have gone more times and as my DS has gotten older we carry less and less. We don't carry a bag at all - love not having to go through bag check! In our pockets we carry- small wallet each with our kttw cards, id (for me), small amt of cash and I carry a credit card, we each carry one dollar store poncho, we both carry our cell phones, my son carries the camera, I carry a small tube of sun block, a small tube of no-chaffe stuff and a tiny ziplock bag with a few tylenol, etc. in it, and thats it! I usually wear a ball cap but my son doesn't really like hats so he doesn't even wear that. Ditto with sunglasses, as long as I have a ball cap on I find I don't need them and my son doesn't like them. We always stay on property so if we have unexpected events happen we just go back to the room.

Usually carry a very small Lesportsac cross body with just enough room for:

KTTW card
Powder compact
Tavie (rhymes with GRAVY)

This is one of my stresses!

It's been quite some time that we've done Disney with a stroller. But this next trip our youngest will be 8 and I think we would look pretty silly pushing a stroller just to carry all our junk! I really want to go down to one very small shoulder bag or bagless. But, what to do with ponchos is the biggie. Maybe we will get lucky and have awesome weather.

Hoping to cut it down to:

Water bottle on a shoulder strap
Small shoulder purse with - money, debit card, ticket, ID, iPhone (with battery extender cover)

We will suncreen before we leave the room and wear hats. My philosophy on jackets/sweaters will be if you want one, you carry it the entire time. That's the biggie. We've always had the stroller to dump jackets and such on.

When we did DL in 2011 DS was still 5 and we took the stroller. He actually used it some when he was tired, but mostly we had our stuff and our extended family's stuff piled on it.

I'm going to miss the stroller!

I try to keep it light - I use a wristlet to hold my ID, park pass, TIW card, room key, camera or phone, carmex and some cash.

I also carry a pack of refreshing towells for cleaning hands and wiping sweat from our face - I think it's from Nivea. The car keys got also thrown inside and it's a easy bag to pass the bag check and to store into lockers if needed (splash rides on the parks).
What are you doing looking in my bag?!

Add to the medicines my migraine meds. If I get a migraine I am DONE for the day.
See you at WDW!
