Saturday or Sunday to SW in August?

Planning to go either August 18 or 19 (Sat/Sun) and wondering if one day is better than another for visiting.

Are crowds horrible at that time of year??

No, crowds are not horrible that time of the year. Local kids start school I believe Monday the 20th. So Sunday should be pretty slow. Sunday is always slower than Saturday but should be even more so that particular Sunday. Getting to the park early (at park opening at 9:00) on Sundays are always good because most people don't usually show up until around noon because they go to church or Sunday brunch.
