Wow - Sounds like you guys had a blast! I hope Josh has half as much fun on his Wish Trip! I'm so glad you contacted me - it's nice to be in touch with someone who has such a similar story to ours. I'll be watching for more updates!

I'm rarely able to get on the boards now, but I'm following along with your updates that come to my email! We just got back a couple of weeks ago, but reading your TR makes me want to go back and do it again!

Today was going to be our AK day ... also, tonight was Halloween night at GKTW and so we were excited for that !
[IMG]  [/IMG]Right away we headed to Camp Minnie Mickey, we don't usually head down there except to see FoTLK but this time I wanted the boys to meet some characters (while they were willing). Once we got there I ran into a young CM who was more than eager to help us to meet the characters once she noticed our Wish pins. She asked if we would like an escort and I said "of course !!" which is good because I'm painfully shy and cutting the lines really makes me uncomfortable. She was very good at talking to the families that would have been next in line and not one family said anything negative. [IMG]  [/IMG][IMG]  [/IMG][IMG]  [/IMG][IMG]  [/IMG][IMG]  [/IMG][IMG]  [/IMG][IMG]  [/IMG][IMG]  [/IMG][IMG]  [/IMG][IMG]  [/IMG]After we met with the characters we saw this guy and he improv'd a song for the boys (and some little girl standing nearby) .. it was SO cute !! This is a video of his song to the boys .. [IMG]  [/IMG]The boys didn't want to see FoTLK, so we headed on over to MY favorite attraction .. Kilimanjaro Safari's. April 9th part 2
So as we were going along on our 2 week safari we were approaching the elephant area when Jayden says to me "I smell elephants" ..
(ok, you had to be there .. it was much funnier when he said it !). Hence the name of my trip report. Now one of my favorite things is when the safari vehicle gets stuck during the ride ! Especially when there's lots of animals around .. but this time we got stuck in a weird spot with not much around ..  [IMG]  [/IMG][IMG]  [/IMG][IMG]  [/IMG][IMG]  [/IMG][IMG]  [/IMG][IMG]  [/IMG]Unfortunately our 2 week trip was cut down and we were dropped off back at the base camp .. but that ok .. we had ice cream to eat ! [IMG]  [/IMG][IMG]  [/IMG]Up next .. trail explorations and mountains to conquer !!

Continuing on, on our AK day ..
Once we left Kilimanjaro we were still hankering for some more animals .. so we headed off to Pangani Forest exploration trail. I just love these trails !! To just be able to stroll around and view the animals is so much fun and the boys just LOVE it a lot !! They are truly in their element when they are here. How cute is this guy?? [IMG]  [/IMG]This was real cool .. the boys spent 15 minutes looking at him .. [IMG]  [/IMG][IMG]  [/IMG]LOVE the meerkats ! [IMG]  [/IMG]Wow .. gorillas have HUGE hands !! [IMG]  [/IMG][IMG]  [/IMG]Once we left there we decided to do a first .. Flights of Wonder ! Now I'm not sure why we never did this, except for the fact that it requires sitting and waiting and I'm very ADD (I don't use this term lightly) and so I think I just bypassed it to avoid having to be patient. But I felt like it would be a fun break for us and a new adventure .. so we were off to see it. I got to the entrance and went straight to the CM so she could see Jaydens button and she told us they were about to let people in shortly and to just stand where we were. There was quite a bit of people lined up and I felt eyes upon us .. but then I heard another CM explain to the guest that we were from Make a Wish and nobody seemed to mind. Then the CM did something I didn't expect .. she let us in by ourselves ! So we entered the empty arena and picked our seating. Notice the empty seats behind us ?? [IMG]  [/IMG]Then the show started .. [IMG]  [/IMG][IMG]  [/IMG][IMG]  [/IMG][IMG]  [/IMG][IMG]  [/IMG][IMG]  [/IMG]I thought this was the coolest bird ever .. the Bald Eagle !! I didn't realize how BIG they are !! [IMG]  [/IMG]I really did enjoy the show .. I thought it was very funny and entertaining. I might not do it each time .. but I'll go back again. Next up .. Jammin Jungle Fever !
