Nikon Coolpix L810
I am thinking of buying this camera and was looking for advice, opinions and input. God forbid I'm asking for opinions, I could be opening a whole big kettle of worms!
So anyway, I don't have a lot of experience. My camera is about 4 years old. It is a Fuji finepix A400 My biggest issue with it, other than the fact that the pics aren't super sharp, is the time it takes between taking pictures. I miss so much that way. What I would like is to have a bigger zoom, be able to take pictures that aren't totally blurry if my kids are moving, be able to take pics of fireworks etc. (I know this is not just the camera but the person taking it has to learn how to do it),have a nice sharp pic and be able to take some close up pics. I'm not talking minute macro photography but close ups. My camera wouldn't let me take a pic of my photopass card so I had the number recorded without it being blurry. I know there was something else I wanted to add but I can't remember. It's almost midnight and I'm tired. I'm expecting to pay between 200 and 300 for my new camera. I know I'm not going to get top of the line with that but I feel I should be able to get something half decent for my needs. I'm not sure the difference in prices between Canada and the US but I live in Canada if that makes a difference. Size and weight also make a difference. I was thinking this might be a bit bigger than what I would like. It doesn't fit in my little pack as nicely but I also know that the weight and size of it will help with stability in taking pics. Any input would be appreciated. As long as its nice of course!! ![]() Thanks |

Just giving this a little bump.
I know this is a relatively new camera but I was hoping that someone either had it or even from reading the description, might have an idea as to whether or not this would work for what I need and want. If someone has any other suggestions for cameras, I'm open to hear them. Hope to hear from someone. |

Oh wow, I guess I have my own thread all to myself.
![]() I knew this was just a new camera on the market but I thought someone would have some input. I think it just came out a few months ago. That just floors me that nobody on disboards has an opinion. I guess it is different here than the regular threads. Someone on most threads always has something to say.Anyway, I went out and bought it. I have played with it a bit but not much as I've been not feeling well. I will see how I do with it. I am a very novice photographer and don't know a lot about cameras. This should be interesting. |
