Quick question -- would it be too late to order a cake for a trip at the end of this month?

Disneyland Birthday

Hi, I am taking my 2 girls to Disneyland for their birthdays later this year, there will be 12 of us including the girls who are turning 1 and 3. We plan to make reservations at both Ariels grotto and Minnies breakfast (on seperate days). I can see alot of info about cakes at WDW but not sure if it the same for DL. We are travelling from New Zealand so it is quite expensive to call and find out all the options. What are the options and costs at DL? Also does anyone know if the bakery sells cupcakes as I would like to buy one as a smash cake for the 1st birthday girl (whose birthday it will be on the day)
Thanks

I think a cake and Disneyworld would be good enough presents for me! lol! I'm always open to MORE presents, though!

The info on Disneyland cake options can be found here: http://disneytravelbabble.com/how-to...disneylandcake

Disneyland sells cupcakes all over the resort. Marceline's on Downtown Disney has a good selection. You can usually also find them in Disneyland at the bakery on Main Street and at Pooh Corner in Critter Country. I would imagine that the bakery on Buena Vista Street in DCA will sell the same cupcakes once it opens later this summer.

Not at all, I ordered mine 6 days before I needed it! lol When I called and made the order I spoke to someone named Sarah and I apologized for the short notice and she said no problem they usually only need about 48 hours notice (this was only for an 8" custom cake, something more involved may need more time).

I sent the email to Brian on April 14 @ 1pm and he responded back on the 15th at 7am. His email signature says his hours are Thurs-Monday 7am-3pm.

I called the other day for two cakes...spoke to Cindy at Yacht & Beach for my in-laws 50th annivesary cake (all set!). Then on to the next cake, called Grand Floridian and left a message...how long should I wait for a call back before I call back

I know they are extremely busy was just wondering how long it took for any of you to receive a call back.

Thanks.

[QUOTE=lurkyloo;44770500]Yes! Call Private Dining at the Yacht & Beach Club: 407-934-3105

There's no way a non-Dolphin staffer would be let into your room to deliver a cake. Why not make a dining reservation at one of the Yacht & Beach Club restaurants and have it delivered there?

We'll be eating at Sci Fi on our first evening. Do you think i could get the SW cake from the Yatch Club Bakery delivered to the Sci Fi? Thanks again!!!

You could call Yacht & Beach Club bakery to ask, but since they stopped delivering cakes to Downtown Disney last year, I wonder if DHS would be out of the question too. Lately they only seem willing to deliver to Epcot. Worth a shot, though!

Usually SciFi's cakes are made by Hollywood Studios' bakery, which doesn't do elaborate fondant designs.

Thank you! I just called the Yatch Club bakery and they said they might be able to arrange something but the Jedi mickey fig alone is $150! + the price of the cake + decorations etc. Thats CRAZY! I dont know if the price goes up because of the SWW?????!!!!!

So i asked if they could do a SW themed cake WITHOUT the fig. She will call me back to see if HS can make that cake for me! Will let you know! thanks again!

quick question: I want to order THE Haunted Mansion cake for our anniversary, but our trip isn't until the end of August? Is it too soon to put an order in?
