We ordered a cake 2 years ago for my DS's 5th bday. Chef Brian made it and we had it delivered to Chef Mickey's at dinner. It was Cars themed and it was beyond gorgeous. I have to find pics of it.

We will be at CM's again for DS's 7th birthday next week. It is a 10 inch, chocolate cake, milk chocolate mousse, buttercreme and fondant. The themes is Planes. We were quoted $120.

Thank you so much! Do you have any pictures??

Question Will Boardwalk Bakery talk me out of a mini wedding cake?

Hi all-

After reviewing all the posts in this thread, I had decided on a chocolate on chocolate mini wedding cake to be delivered to either our room at CBR or to our ADR at Kouzzina on our anniversary. Either location would still utilize Boardwalk Bakery.

I read on a separate website, that folks have been "talked out" of getting a mini wedding cake by Boardwalk Bakery staff. I specifically want this smaller cake since there are only 2 of us on our trip and we don't know if we will have a working fridge at CBR in the event that there are leftovers.

Has anyone heard of Boardwalk Bakery steering orders away from the mini wedding cakes? My backup plan is to order the same cake for delivery at BOG on our arrival day (day before anniversary) since that would be serviced by Chef Brian/Contemporary and posters on this thread rave about him.

Any feedback/thoughts/advice would be appreciated! Our trip is 29 days away...

I've never had any trouble with BoardWalk Bakery, but I know sometimes if you get a front-line CM and not a pastry chef, they'll act like there are not a lot of options. If this happens to you, just call back or ask for the email of a pastry chef. And if you order through CBR, you won't be dealing directly with BWB staff at all, so you should have no problem.

I think the answer to this is yes, but I just want to make sure. Can you have cakes delivered to Liberty Tree tavern? The Contemporary would be in charge of that, right?

I know in March I contacted the Contemporary directly..but I thought I read in this thread recently that now you call the cake hotline for the contemporary as well? Just want to double check the procedure!
