My dad and I are going April 1-7. I can't wait!

Oh, I loved the WLV! Iwas actually thinking about staying there again if we couldn't get into BLT. We stayed there a couple years ago. It's such a great location and the theming is awesome. I remember a few years ago, Samantha Brown hosted this show called "Great Hotels" and one of the episodes was about the Wilderness Lodge. One of the things she said was how you don't even feel like you are in Florida-I have to agree with that. There are wildflowers and pine trees everywhere.

I also liked being able to take the boat to the Magic Kingdom and seeing the Electrical Water Pageant. You will love WLV!

We liked that it was very quiet up there (with no one above us). The food and beverage in the lounge was delicious. It was awesome to be able to wake up, walk a few steps to the lounge, eat breakfast and go...no standing in lines, no having to pay...being able to grab a beer or glass of wine was fantastic.

We also had 40% off so that made the price more palatable (we were paying less than rack rate for a basic room) and that's the case with our upcoming April trip as well. Without the 40% off, we would not pay those prices!!! (Poly CL is $692/night!!!!)

But, we loved it and are hooked.
You've got 40% for next April? How?

Caught up on the posts I have missed - and I feel behind on my ADRs! LOL

I haven't even looked at what our potential schedule may be because I can't book ADRs until almost the end of October... so I will keep reading and patiently watching each of you instead! :D

*edit* So my daughter just announced to me (literally) that she just realized we are going to Disney 9 days after her birthday and that is close enough to call it HER Birthday trip! lol Now the other daughter wants to know if we are going in October for her birthday! Geesh! What have I done! lol

Ready to make ADRs, I think!

After juggling things around, I think I finally have our trip planned out. Here's the parks we will be in each and the ADRs I will be making on 10/17. (We take a break in the room after lunch for a few hours.) One ADR each day -- we prefer our bigger meal at lunch but some choices are only available at dinner.

Monday, 4/15 – No Park
Dinner at Boma

Tuesday, 4/16
morning – Epcot – lunch at Biergarten
evening – Magic Kingdom

Wednesday, 4/17
morning – Animal Kingdom
evening – Epcot – dinner at ‘Ohana

Thursday, 4/18
morning – Magic Kingdom – lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern
evening – choice of: Animal Kingdom (closes at 6:00) and Downtown Disney
or Epcot

Friday, 4/19
morning – Epcot – lunch at Le Cellier
evening – Magic Kingdom

Saturday, 4/20 – Happy Birthday! (dh turns 60)
morning – Hollywood Studios
evening – Epcot – dinner at Cape May Cafι

Sunday, 4/21
morning – Magic Kingdom – breakfast at Trail’s End
evening – Animal Kingdom / Downtown Disney
OR Hollywood Studios
OR Epcot -- late lunch / early dinner at Coral Reef

Monday, 4/22
morning – Animal Kingdom
evening – Magic Kingdom – dinner at Be Our Guest

Tuesday, 4/23 – Happy Anniversary!
morning – Epcot -- early lunch at Coral Reef maybe
evening – Epcot – dinner at Le Cellier

Wednesday, 4/24
morning – Hollywood Studios – lunch at 50s Prime Time Cafι
evening – Magic Kingdom

Thursday, 4/25
morning – Magic Kingdom
evening – Epcot – dinner at Tutto Italia

Restaurants that we haven't eaten at before: Liberty Tree Tavern, Trail's End, Be Our Guest, 50s Prime Time, and Tutto Italia.

In the amount of time it took me to copy this over from my spreadsheet and prepare it for posting, I made two changes (adding Coral Reef, I forgot dh wanted to go there). I wonder how many more I will make before the 17th?

Oh, it's my DH that's in the military, and if the flag retreat involves people looking at him, count him out....he's pretty shy.

Except for this summer when he was recognized during a Red Sox game in front of all Fenway Park - he ate that up!!!

Wow, that is a lot of ADRs! The only places we are thinking of eating at are the Prime Time and also going to the Hoop De Doo Revue since we've never done that before.

Hmmm. We did Le Cellier for our anniversary in 2009 and did not get a personalized menu.

But when we did Coral Reef in 2007 for my birthday, we did get a "personalized" menu -- with my name spelled wrong. "Debroah" -- Sheesh! And they told me that it was the menu for DDP and we could only order off of it -- the selection was very limited. Everyone has told me that there has never been separate menus for DDP but I can promise you (because I still have it) that this was a different menu created for DDP users at Coral Reef in 2007. Dh got one also, but his wasn't personalized.

Don't forget to wear your Lime Green Mickey Head also. (If you don't know what I'm talking about, just search the boards for Lime Green MIckey Head or LGMH.)

Dh loves to eat out. If this trip were by myself or with someone else, I doubt there would be that many ADRs. But meals are THE highlight of the trip for him (well, that and getting to try beers that aren't available in our area). The restaurants in there for me are 50s Prime Time, Liberty Tree, Trail's End, and Tutto Italia -- all ones we haven't been to before. I'm adventurous and like to try new things, dh likes to stick with the familiar. Also, I'm more interested in some of the counter service selections -- lobster roll at Columbia Harbor House, sandwiches from Starring Rolls, and the new options that will be available at Boulangerie Patisserie.

I remember hearing about that day at Fenway on the news. Thank you to him!!!
We don't have a military disc. But got 40% off at the BC in Aug. of 2010 and 30% off Poly last yr. I wouldn't stay there if it wasn't for those discounts!

We love eating out too especially on vacation. Your ADRs look great! I almost forgot about Be Our Guest. We'll only be in the Parks 1 day so I definately want to eat there!!
There are other resort restaurants that we love so since we'll have a car we can go to those anytime.
I LOVE the Patisserie!! Looking forward to the new options there too!
I can't believe I'll be making ADRs before I even book the flights!! That's scary. I hope I don't need to cancel them all b/c the flights are ridiculous.
