Now.....where's the TR?

I'll probably start the TR on the weekend, i've forgotten what i've done
I slept about 12.5 hours last night, went to bed about 4:00 yesterday afternoon (I think), and woke up at 4:30 this morning.

Today at work wasn't so bad, I just kept thinking 11 months to go

Where are you going in 11 months?

It's always best to come back from a trip with another one in the works. This will be my first time experiencing it and i know it's better already.

I know, the accents! We were in NY and we were hearing Aussies everywhere!
Couldn't get away from them!

My DS has picked up little words here and there though, and is rounding off his R's quite nicely.
I've also noticed in my house now we say trash instead of rubbish and flip flops instead of thongs There are little things you have to pick up or nobody understands what you're saying...

We're looking at heading off September-ish again, hope it all goes to plan.
The weather was brilliant while we were away.
I had so many people say to me today "you look all tanned" which surprises me as I was wearing 30+ every day

My kids reckon they could pick the Aussies in New York, they were always the ones wearing new Nikes!

Yay for a road trip in Sep next year ( that is when we are going too).
And I agree with the loveliness of having another trip to plan for , I am loving the thought of coming back from the trip next year and not being depressed, because I will be straight into planning our first Orlando trip in 2014

clever kids!

DS still needs to grow about 2.5 inches to get to the magical 48 so he can ride everything! 11 months, can he do it??

The whole "you get paid too much" yup, we're getting that too.
I doubt My Woolies pays me too much

Is it sad that second day back I'm walking in the front door this morning and thinking "11 months to go"?

Even weirder I have a feeling they'll have some more hours to offer up and I'm going to ask or them

No, not sad at all - my thinking is that you've always got to have something to look forward to. I keep getting little comments like "oh, you must be doing alright" or "you spoil your kids". No, we don't spoil our kids, we are teachng them that if you work hard and save your money you can do fun things. By the way, I'm a teacher's aide/ school admin officer and DH is a council worker, so we aren't exactly rolling around naked in our spare cash for fun when the kids go to bed!

I've been told twice that I look tanned and well rested, not sure you can call 12 hour days at DL resting, my legs were killing me in bed at night, and the weather was hot, hot, hot so you can't avoid getting tanned. Now that I've got a tan I wanna keep it! Not a good example for my DDs though, DH said if I'm not careful I'll end up like Magda from There's Something About Mary. Now that's not a good look!

Anyway, glad you're home at last. Australiankaren's TR is fantastic, I'm not sure mine will be anywhere near as good, but I'll try to make a start this weekend. Don't work too hard ladies, and don't try to get all of your washing done at once, all you'll end up with is piles and piles of ironing
