Hotel On The Beach AFTER Our Cruise

We are staying at WDW prior to our Disney Dream cruise but after we have 5 days that we wanted to hang out at the beach. I am having a difficult time finding a hotel or condo that is affordable either at Cocoa Beach or Clearwater areas. Does anyone have any suggestions. I need 2 rooms or a 2 bedroom villa/condo.
Thanks

Did you check vrbo.com? We usually rent there for Clearwater. I think they are pretty reasonable - most rent for the week though, so you may have trouble finding 5 nights. Although if you find the right place, it might work out cheaper to pay the week and only use 5 days.

What about Ron Jon Resort in Cape Canaveral?

We're staying there two nights before our cruise in April in a 2 bedroom villa. It has an awesome pool area and is on the beach. I believe they have a shuttle that takes you to the beach because the resort is quite large. Instead of WDW, we're going to Kennedy Space Center for a change.

Have fun where ever you go!

If you are willing to go a short bit north to New Smyrna Beach I highly recommend the Holiday Inn there. We stayed there twice last year when we went for space shuttle launches. The rooms are great, the price fantastic, and it is right on the beach. The town is very family friendly, not too touristy and not a big party destination. You can walk on the beach from the hotel to several restaurants, ice cream shops, etc. Here is my review at trip advisor from our April 2011 stay:

We stayed again in July and it was just as good then. We are planning to go there again after our cruise in June for a couple days.

We live in the Clearwater area and my in-laws live in N. Redington Beach. There is a little local motel next to their condo on the beach called the Sails Motel. See below. I'm always impressed by how nice they maintain their property and it's away from the craziness of Clearwater Beach. If that doesn't work for you, a doubletree is just a few properties down too... Nice area that's never crazy packed..... Hope this helps

If you don't mind going just a bit further south of Clearwater on the West Coast you will find Anna Maria Island. We love it there. While you won't find any chain type hotels, the island is filled with beach cottages and rental condos. Also been described as Key West ..without the crowds.
