Price of parking if staying off site

I tried doing a search but only forund ticket prices. What is the price to park a vehicle in the Park lots per day? We are weighing our pros and cons for staying on Disney property versus staying outside.

It was $14 last August. Not sure if it has increased.

Yes, it's currently $14 per day to park. Note that if you leave the park and come back, or even switch to a different park on the same day you can just show your receipt from when you paid earlier and they won't charge you a second time.

Thank you for the responses. BrettS, that is good to know because I doubt we would be able to stay in the park all day unless it was Animal Kingdom or Hollywood Studios.

So that $60/night hotel offsite will actually cost you $74/night once you add Disney parking. Plus gas. And time. Always worth adding everything together before deciding.

If you, or someone in your car, has an annual pass then parking is free.

Brett,
I should think so, I think it is rather steep anyway, considering how many people must park at all the Parks in Disney.

If you were staying outside, just park at Downtown Disney and take the shuttle buses to the parks.

You just touched on very touchy subject. Put your flame suit on. Just as an FYI though, busses no longer run directly from DTD to the parks. It's best just to pay for parking.

I needed some entertainment this afternoon, and this could get good.

I know people do this...I was even chatting with someone while we waited for Snow White and the Dwarfs at MVMCP and that's what they had done, but it just seems like it would take up SO much time and is just more trouble than it's worth. We've done the off site/on site comparison before and between resort fees (for many off site resorts) and parking at the parks, there's not enough savings for our family of 4 to send me looking off site. If things change, then we'll reevaluate.

I will say that if you're interested in cooking meals (not just eating a quick breakfast, but actually cooking dinner) or if you have a large party then you could save decent amount (or more in the case of a large party) by staying off site. Me...I don't want to cook on vacation and I love the thought of coming back to fresh towels and a bed made by someone else. That's my idea of vacation.

Good luck with your decision! I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time either way!

$14 per day is quite a bit to add onto an off-site hotel fee every day. And if you also have to rent a car, things can certainly add up quickly!

It's always great to weigh the pros and cons for staying on and off site. I'm currently doing an analysis for my wedding website to try and give people enough information to make a good choice.
