I was a server there for a long while, and I've had many compliments about that cake. Having tried it a number of times, I can say there is a strong whiskey taste, if you don't like whiskey - you'll for sure notice it more. It does bring out a lovely flavor in the chocolate, as well.
It's no longer served at dinner, and there is talk of getting rid of it at lunch as well - the menu change is on March 14, so you'll know then. *Jeremy www.spinstheworld.com Quote: Originally Posted by chinarider Any ideas on what else they might be changing on the menu? And yes, the Prix Fixe is still there, though the items on it may change. You'll still have the classics of course - Cheese Soup/Chocolate 'Moose'/Burger, etc. *Jeremy www.spinstheworld.com Original thread: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2889981

Thanks for the info! I like the sound of those changes. Loved the duck meatballs, but the duck crepe will probably change things up in a good way. I think a caprese-style gnocchi will be more seasonally appropriate than the current dish. And finally, I didn't think the steak and potato skillet was great, so I'm looking forward to seeing if it's replaced with anything (even if it isn't, I think it was one of the weaker dishes on the menu). Excited to see how the dessert menu changes as well

Does anyone have a pic of the new lunch menu (both the appetizer/entree menu and the dessert menu)? I'm curious to see all the changes now (especially since WDW's online site no longer shows a lunch dessert menu at all).

I am looking at the new lunch menu online right now and I don't see the "Le Cellier Experience" and they appear to have removed the "Shaved Prime Rib Sandwich" (which is what I really wanted to try). They also don't have the open faced chicken sandwich (what I thought my DS would like). Very bummed that they changed it right before our first visit. Several things have mushrooms which my DS will not eat. We're not salmon people. DS also won't eat salad so those are out for him. I am just afraid this meal is going to turn into a fiasco now that there's not much to choose from and we'll never want to return. I guess he could order the burger provided they would leave out the mushrooms - but the kid eats enough of those. I really wanted him to have a real meal. (And at $32 forget him ordering a strip steak for LUNCH.) Cannot say enough how disappointed I am right now. I will print the menu out to show to DH and DS. I may end up cancelling.http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/med...menu-lunch.pdf

That's not the new lunch menu - that's the summer 2011 menu, and it's been outdated for a few months. Plus, the prix fixe menu is always printed separately. By the way, I had the shaved prime rib sandwich (last on the menu before summer 2011) and I hated it. The chicken sandwich also hasn't been on the menu for months.
Wherever you've been looking at menus, you need to start looking somewhere else.
