Dee: great job with the new house. I see a cozy beach chair with my name on it. Think I'll go kick back and relax while everyone else checks in.

Thank you for this thread. I feel so welcome and happy here! I think this is the best thread on the Dis!

Now for my Disney news. As I mentioned before DH has decided we need to buy into DVC. Well after some debate and disagreements we decided in the end more points was more important than location (I wanted to buy into BCV or BWV) but we put an offer in and it was accepted on a resale. As soon as we close I am going to try and book a weekend getaway at BCV! Thanks everyone for your help on this one.

First time Deluxe at YC!

Hello BC/YC!
We are doing a split-stay this summer POR/YC and I am so excited! This will be DH, DD, and my first time at a Disney hotel and it will be a first visit to WDW for my in laws. DD wanted to be near SAB and I've always wanted to stay near the Boardwalk so it's a real treat!

I had a few questions I was hoping the YCers could answer. I am having hip surgery next month and FIL just had partial knee replacements so we will be a slow group. I am wondering if it is worthwhile to try and request ground floor rooms or if the elevators are convenient. I don't necessarily want an accessible room (would rather let those who truly need them have them) but want to anticipate sore limbs.

TIA!

Great job on the new thread Dee!

After scanning the first page, I realized my info is now wrong on the Be Our Guest list. I dropped the Poly so we are staying the whole time at BC and I am super excited!!!

We will now be at BC-CL from 6/2-6/11. I hope maybe now we will get a chance to chat with the famous Teena again!

No rush to update, I know you must be swamped with doing the whole thread change

Thanks again for all your hard work. This thread is really awesome!!!

Where are you going to be the most. Pool, Epcot, DHS, Lobby, Buses to other parks, etc? Once we know where you need to go then someone will have the best suggestion on where to ask for.

I don't know about YC but at BC there are two elevators one near the lobby and one at the end near Epcot. We were at Epcot the most so by the back elevator would have been our best request. Some of the folks can tell you if YC has a back elevator and whether or not it's closer to the pool, or boat dock or what have you.

CL Lounge

Hi,

Does anyone know if the in room coffee makers are Keurig? I saw that they might be... Also, does anyone know if the lounge is open for coffee before 7:00? I will be traveling with my mom and she is an early riser. Last question - is WiFi really free in the rooms now?

Thank you in advance!

I'll take the coffee questions!!! I totally sympathize because I am an early-rising caffeine addict, too!

Yes and No- most of the rooms (including the concierge rooms) have the Cuisinart pod units. See Post 12, FAQ, on the first page of the thread for detailed pictures.

However the 1 and 2 BR suites (and maybe the VP and Presidental Suites), have the Keurig. Why???? No idea!

I believe the Marketplace opens at 6:30 for coffee only and if you are talking about the club lounge, then I *think* there is coffee available 24 hours a day. Can someone who has stayed concierge recently confirm that?

Free WiFi in rooms, I have heard that it is slow especially if there is more than one device being used.

We will be staying at YC for the first time in May 11th-14th) and we are so excited. We have been fortunate enough to experience SAB when we stayed at BCV a few years ago and we can't wait to play there again Thanks to Dee for this amazing thread

Thanks Dee. I am really glad you chose us as your project and not some "Dark Side" thread. Can't wait to read about your adventures in PR.
