You're a brave one for doing MNSSHP on halloween night! I thought about doing it that night as well but everybody told me it will definitely sell out and be crazy busy. So I decided we would go on November 2nd. I looked at the different aspects on both parties and decided against MVMCP, we just love halloween so we're hoping it will be super fun!

I've been wanting to do MNSSHP ever since I found out about it, so I'm super excited that I can finally go...provided we can get tickets on the night I'd like to see it. I am a little about how crowded it's going to be on Halloween, but, I'm going with the intention of doing the party activities and not rides, just so I won't be too disappointed if I don't get much done that night in the way of rides. Hopefully we'll be able to get there nice and early and take it easy. I won't mind staking out a spot for the parade or the halloween wishes an hour before if I have to, just as long as I get a good viewing spot.

The Christmas party is fantastic! Maybe it's because I was with my family and it was our first night in Disney that trip, and it was December 18th and I was able to wear shorts and a t-shirt and be just fine (I could never do that here...I'd freeze), but I think it was worth every penny. The hot chocolate was great, and the sugar cookies were awesome...something we couldn't stop talking about for the rest of the vacation. And I can't even think about the snow on Main St. without almost tearing up...everything about Christmas at Disney truly is magical That being said, I can't wait to see what it's like at Halloween...it's one of my favourite holidays! Being able to do both will put me

That sounds like a great day! Hopefully the party won't be over crowded and you can still get lots of party stuff done. MNSSHP on Halloween night would be so much fun! The haunted carriage ride sounds awesome too.

Quick Weekend Getaway

So my work is having a charity hockey game this weekend in Moncton, and 2 people from my store will be playing (there's a NB team and a NS/PEI team). I've known about it for a while, and was really wanting to go (along with a few other co-workers) to cheer them on, but I didn't have a way up or a place to stay. I knew that a few people had been talking about going, but no plans had been made so I just kind of put it out of my mind...until...

Today at lunch we were discussing the game and who was going up, and I was mentioning how much I'd like to go, when one of the people playing in the game pipped up and mentioned they had room left in their vehicle......

My brother loves going to Moncton, and has a few discount cards with some hotel chains, so I asked him if he could find me a deal...and he did!

So, we're taking a quick weekend getaway to cheer on the people from my store

I'm actually kind of excited ...the last time I went anywhere it was Disney last May, and I get kind of stir crazy after a while if I don't go anywhere even if it's just somewhere close.

Ohhh fun! Hockey and a little outing! I know the feeling. DH and I are going to Halifax next weekend and I'm ridiculously (and perhaps disproportionally!) excited.
Have fun!

Joining in!! Your plans look like so much fun. I can't wait for the date for MNSSHP to be released. I have done both MNSSHP and MVMCP and they were hits with the entire family. My brother wants to do attend MNSSHP twice during our trip. Any plans for costumes??

and thanks for joining in! We had considered going as zombie brides, but I think logistically that's probably not the best idea...neither one us likes wearing dresses much, and doing a Disney theme park in a big dress might not work out so well...and when we do zombie make-up, we go all out, so I think it might be too scary for children. I thought that maybe doing something with face paint and minimal costuming might be best, but I'm not sure what...ideas?

Oh cool! Well, back! It's kinda funny we were there around the same time last year, and this year we're staying at the same resort, just a few weeks apart...maybe next time we'll be there at the same resort at the same time

Yeah snow on main street would be kind of awesome to see. I don't know how you even wore a t-shirt and shorts at Disney in December! We went in January this year so it was only a couple weeks later than your trip in December and I was pretty cold most of the trip. I guess I do get cold pretty easy though.

Enjoy your mini-trip! We are also thinking of taking a mini-trip for our anniversary in June.

When we were there it was probably around 23 or so every day, and only really got down to 15-18 at night, so all we needed were sweaters at night, but during the day we were just fine...sometimes the breeze was a little chilly though. Maybe we got lucky with warmer temperatures

Thanks Mini-trips are always awesome

That would be a great resort choice ...I was considering switching to AoA for the first part of our trip because it will be so new, and it looks awesome...but I feel like it won't have the right atmosphere for our honeymoon. So, maybe next time for us too But I'm not expecting to be able to go back for a few years ...I've been itching to get back to NYC and we both want to go overseas to Ireland/England

Who's excited?

I just have to excite for a moment...

I just bought our MNSSHP tickets AND our MVMCP tickets!

Sorry, I'm just so excited! Not that it didn't feel real before, but now that we've got our tickets to the parties it's starting to sink in that we will actually be there to see these two "holidays"...omg!

Tomorrow is also our ADR day, but I think we can only make ADR's up until November 6th. I may have to wait until May 10th to make any ADR's from November 7th onwards, but I'm not sure .

So I'm not going to make very many ADR's tomorrow, and I probably don't really even need to make them tomorrow because they're for more "obscure" places. Well...I don't hear them get talked about too much here on the DIS.

I'll try and come back tomorrow to make a proper update about ADR's and plans for Day 4. For now, I leave you with these pictures (which aren't mine) to set the mood for my trip...

(this one came from the DIS site I think...found it on google though )
