Wow! That is an early flight! However, it will be great getting to Orlando so early! I couldn't imagine doing EMH after an early day, though. I would need a nap in the lobby before even going to MK, LOL!

As for the wedding plans, to quote the A-team, "I love it when a plan comes together." It sounds like you are off to a great start!

Thanks! It's good to have some reassurance Sometimes I feel like we've still got so much to do, and it's only about 6 months away . We picked up our mariage licence yesterday though!

I'm used to having early flights like that, and late nights on our first day at WDW. When I went with my family for Christmas in '07 our flight was supposed to leave early in the morning, but got delayed for a few hours in Halifax, and then we were a bit delayed where ever it was we were connecting through, so that when we got in it was a lot later than we had expected...what was "worse" was that we had tickets for MVMCP that night. By the time we got settled in our resort and got underway we arrived at the MK just as the party was starting. We were really lucky . When we finally decided to call it a night, we pretty much rolled into bed

Day 2

So, since I have the day off today (good thing I checked my schedule last night , otherwise I'd have showen up at 8am this morning, only to be told I wasn't supposed to be there ) I figured I'd pop on over here and start planning some more. After all, I have just over a week to finish my final paper...I've got plenty of time

So, Day 2. Tuesday October 30th.
After having had a long day the day before, I'm sure we will both want to sleep in at least a little. Normally while at Disney we're go go go, so if we're able to sleep in, awesome, but if we're too excited to sleep in we'll probably get up and out relatively early.

We will likely end up grabbing our breakfast from the PepperMarket, but if we're more in the mood for something quick we'll probably grab a quick bite from CafeRix.

(I didn't take this photo, I borrowed it for demonstrative purposes)

(this one I did take though)

Once we're finished getting our breakfast, we may head over to...

Epcot has morning EMH according to the calendar, so if we're up and out early enough, we'll probably want to take those in. If not, we may want to head over to...

The Animal Kingdom. It's my fiance's favourite park, so I know she'll be itching to get over there. Last trip that's the first park we went to because of morning EMH, and it worked out...well, it was interesting. If you want to see what happened, you can find out in my TR (the link is in my siggy).

This is the night that I would like to do the haunted carriage ride over at the FWR, since it's one of the only night's we'd get to do it. It sounds like a lot of fun, and a nice way to spend some alone time together

It depends on which park we end up in as to where we'd be eating, but this might be our 'Ohana night, since it's close to the FWR. Maybe we might even try something over there?

Stopping by to say hello neighbor Congratulations on the upcoming wedding Did you already book your flights? I've been holding out for a decent price. Which university are you attending? I'm going to pop over now and read your previous TR (I was going to do the dishes, but they can wait LOL)

Hi! and thanks!

We were lucky and had our flights gifted to us They were booked on a TD version of Expedia...not exactly sure how that works, but they were the same flights I had been seeing on regular Expedia. They were also super cheap, I think it was a total of $550 for both tickets one way and home they were around $450 total, so super prices!

I'm going to Saint Mary's. It's a great university I'm actually kinda sad to be leaving, but I'm also really happy to be graduating, so it's sort of bittersweet.

I know that feeling I was on the Dis a good chunk of yesterday when I could have been doing my paper ...but I have it half done as of today, so I feel better about it

I love the flexibility you have in your planning! I am the complete opposite. Although I do share your talent of procrastination when it comes to schoolwork, though!

I've never really been one to have things planned down to a specific time, but I usually have more of a game plan than I think we'll have this time. I think that's mostly due to ADR's, which we won't have many of this time.

School, and Wedding, and Shop Lifters, Oh MY!

Before I make more Disney plans, I have to interject with another "life post".

I'm DONE!!! I handed in my paper on Tuesday morning. Now all that's left to do is get my final grade, and walk across the stage! The graduation ceremony is in the morning on May 18, so just over a month away. I can't tell you how happy I am to be graduating...finally. It's only a B.A, but it's taken me so long to finish it.

The wedding plans are continuing to go well. I found a lady on Etsy (which is a website where people can sell their hand-made stuff) who makes custom wedding gowns. The ones she has for sale look beautiful, but she says that she can also make them from pictures as well. I've got some pictures of a dress I really like and I plan on sending them to her to see what she could do for me. Her prices are also very reasonable, definitely within our budget. She also has a guarantee with her dresses, so I think I'll get my dress made by her. I also e-mailed the officiant our ceremony, and he said everything looks a-okay, so that's a relief!

The person we were trying to get to do the catering for our wedding is charging almost double what we were expecting, so we're on the fence as to weather or not we're still going to go with her. That being said, I think the price is reasonable for what she'd be making, and I don't think we could get the same amount of food for cheaper, so we'll probably still go with her, but we may have to re-work our budget a little. We're still thinking on it.

And now I have to vent about work, so excuse me for a minute...I work at a new store, we opened in late October. It's in a developing area of the city, so it's been really slow, and we're only now just starting to see a slight increase in traffic. With more customers also comes thieves, however. In most stores thieves just take the product and leave. We're not lucky enough for that. Well, no one is ever lucky to have thieves...I get just thinking about them. Anyway, we had a guy in on Tuesday who went around and took bites out of various kinds of chocolate, and some ice cream bars, chewed them up, and then proceeded to leave us presents throughout the store, which we then had to clean up. It wasn't enough for him to just swipe the products, he felt the need to defile our store with them. I'm just thinking about it. I mean, who does that?! It was disgusting. THEN, just yesterday, we had 2 ladies come in and steal all the coupons off of one type of product. They bought a bunch of a smaller sized version of the same product that were on sale and also had coupons on them, but then later returned, put all the smaller sized ones back, and stole all the larger ones that had taken the coupons off of earlier. I don't understand these people. We got pictures of the offending parties in both of these scenarios, but still. It's annoying and makes me

Anyway, now that that's off my chest, I have to go get ready for work. Sorry about that little rant, but I just had to get it out somewhere. Next time I'll be back with a planning update

Thanks! It really does I don't think it will fully sink in until a few days before the ceremony though,

I fully intend on filling that empty school void with lots of planning...for Disney and the wedding

Hello hello! I followed you from my PTR and I'm adding to the Maritimers on yours

I love that you're having your wedding dress custom made! How awesome! Are you both going to know what the other is wearing or are you going to surprise each other?

So cool that you're going to see the Halloween and Christmas decorations/party.

Nice flights, getting into Orlando so early! We have something similar out of Sydney and through Toronto.

Congratulations on being finished University!!

Congrats on finishing school and being engaged! You must be so excited! That's really awful what those people did at your work. I've had a similar situation where I worked at a Tim Horton's and we had some kids come through the drive thru and threw a cup of their feces in the window. It was not pleasant.

It looks like we will be there the same time as you! We are going October 30- November 6. Do you know when they start the Very Merry Christmas parties? I haven't looked in to it because we were sure we were going to do MNSSHP and I don't think we could afford to do both.

There does seem to be quite an abundance of us hanging out here, but I think it's neat there seems to be so many of us on the DIS

We're still not 100% sure what we plan on doing, but I have a feeling that at the very least we will have an idea of what each other is wearing so we don't clash horribly, hahaha

And thanks!!!

Thanks! I guess I figured if this is our last year on Earth, I should make it count

That sounds really nasty, I can't even imagine how you guys must have been

That's awesome! Maybe we'll run into each other while we're there I've been trying to wait patiently for the dates of the parties, but it's hard, . There has been speculation that the first MVMCP will be on Nov 6, but I'm expecting the first one on Nov 9. Hopefully they release the November hours tomorrow so we can make our guesses based on that... I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Day 3

Wednesday October 31. Halloween. Day 3.

Now that I've done some thinking about Day 2, and the November hours are out I feel like we will probably go to Epcot that day. We're big users of EMH, so despite having a long day on Day 1, we will both probably want to get to Epcot bright and early the next morning to take advantage of those EMH. I also feel like we may need a mid-day break, so that will probably happen around 2 pm, and then we'll probably end up going to another park or DTD in the evening, before going to the FWR for our Haunted Carriage Ride (which I will have to call about soon to see if I can book one yet).

So, with those slight revisions in mind, on to Day 3.

Because we would have been to every other park, Day 3 will start out here:

Well, okay, we probably won't start out right there, but you get the idea. I'd like to do the Donald's Safari Breakfast again, so I'm thinking that this morning might we might find ourselves here around 8 am (pending ADR availability):

(not my photo, I found it on Google)

Once we're both full of wonderful food, we will likely hit up:

(again, not my photo)

And then, we will do the walking trail once we come back from our 2 week safari, and hopefully we will then take a journey to:

We will likely end up getting FP's and doing the other walking trail while we wait for our time to roll around. Neither one of us have done this ride before, so we'll both be pretty nervous at this point. I'm sure we'll be fine though, if my mom can do it, and like it, so can we!

After this ride, it's pretty much whatever goes. I'd like to stick around to see the parade, because I've never seen it before, but if I don't I won't be too broken up about it, as long as I get to see it once this trip.

So, after our time at AK, we will probably head back to the hotel for a little rest, because we will have a big night ahead of us. Yes, that's right...since it's Halloween, there's no better way to spend it than at...

(not my photo)

I am so excited for this party! I've been hearing that they will probably release the dates of MNSSHP and MVMCP on the same day, so hopefully I can get the tickets for both parties the day they go on sale.

My mandate for the Halloween party is to do the stuff related to the party. Rides are secondary for once.
