I'd love to hear what you thought of the Alcatraz night tour, it was spooky enough for me during the day!!!
5ofus - If you're interested, I have pictures of it in the Jan 2011 PTR/TR, Disneyland section of the boards. There will be quick links in the second post and you should be able to find it. As Sam said, no pictures allowed inside, but I have pictures of the grounds.

And if this up your alley, check out the Mystery Spot near Santa Cruz. I haven't been there yet but I'm hoping to get out there next week.

Karen I went with one small suitcase inside my big empty one...both are full and my carry on and handbag are bursting lol I'm wearing my boots on every flight because they take up too much space and Bec has my Guess handbag in one of her suitcases because it wouldn't fit in mine I'll look for my third suitcase in LA and will buy small in San Fran which should be easy

Glad you guys are enjoying it

Ohhh ps: we met Alan and baby Carlos on the Strip before we left BEST impersonator we've come across so far by a mile!!
Alan and baby Carlos are so cool! My DH always talks about him whenever someone asks about Vegas. DH did a double take when he saw him as he's so realistic.

This has to be one of the funniest trip reports I've read. Are you sure you aren't the Griswald's????? I'm sorry that your holiday has been so screwed up but I'm sure none of you will ever forget it and it will make great dinner conversations for the rest of your lives

Oh, so jealous, I've always wanted to do Winchester house! We were in SF 2004 but hadn't booked anything and just ran out of time.

please take photos of the rooms with all the luggage

also, hows the sharing a bathroom working out for you??
I have a Dh with more than enough toiletries for 12, and it drives me mad, but 4 chicks sharing one bathroom day after day would have me committed within a week.....

glad your doing well, and things are working out......enjoy the time together looking forward to more ..

Ok so laundry didn't take too long, we ran into some Aussies from Perth & swapped tips then we stopped at the Disney store on the way back where I got a Halloween top and a San Francisco keyring and magnet. Then we took a tram down to pier 33 and had lunch before boarding the ferry to Alcatraz. The cafe there was awesome, I had really yummy chicken tenders & chips (stake cut, not fries!).

Then we did the Alcatraz tour, got some great shots from the ferry as we went around the whole island. The audio tour was good, but easy to get confused and end up in the wrong spot after we'd finished that we watched the cell door demo and omg how loudly they echo!!! Leaving the island at night was slightly trippy lol then we walked down to pier 39, walked around a bit then has Bubba Gumps for dinner which was fun! I had a Halloween jack-o-latern frozen lemonade which was better at the bottom but still yum

Then today we took the cable car up to the crooked street and walked up, what fun that was!!! walking to the cable cars we ran into the same Aussies from the laundry which was funny lol then we took the cable car (all standing this time, arghhhh!!) to Fisherman's wharf and finished that off during the day. We trimmed it back to union square to do Target and Ross. I had to buy a third suitcase to spread my purchases out do I don't go overweight knew I would but expected it in LA. Currently weight 25lbs, 27lbs and 38lbs so all well under with space for more. My issue is I have stuff that is in boxes and they take up room plus there are 6 boxes waiting at Hojo's for me will update from LA tomorrow, Halloween party tomorrow night!!!!
