You can adjust your F stop to get a clear or blurry background = depth of field.

I understand DOF and Aperture. I was wondering if it was done PP because it was shot at 37mm f5.6. I don't know how much distance there is between the subject and the background. I was just curious. My shot of the gold street performer was at f2.8 and my background is not really OOF that much. I had about 20 feet between the performer and the wall.
