We had Mike as our concierge. I can not praise him enough. As others have said, he will do anything to meet your requests. In our case, he brought us the main dining room menus so we could have dinner one night in the room in order to catch two different activities. He also arranged for my daughter's favorite treat, the chocolate covered strawberries to be brought in each day. Don't be afraid to ask him for anything, if its' possible he will get it done.

Thank you to everyone who has posted their experiences. There were so many negative postings about concierge experiences on the Magic that I was starting to 2nd quess our move from the Dream (conciege level) to the Wonder (also conciege). I also understand that the complete experience depends on who the CM's are at the time - but it's nice to know that you all had good experiences. Now I can't wait for our trip!

We have had Mike many times on the Wonder and he is awesome. Sadly, he is leaving concierge and moving to IT on the Dream after his vacation.

Marco who is now concierge is from Palo originally.

I would book concierge just for the suites alone. The suites on the magic are very nice and roomy. My experience with concierge was just ok I guess but it seems that lots of people had great experiences. I have a feeling the people who just had an "okay" experience all had the same concierge.

I think you're right as he mentioned that his timing would be such that he might be sent to the Fantasy. He was on vacation over the summer after our Alaska cruise too.

we have sailed concierge 3 times on the wonder. Our first experience was with Tawanda and he was the best of the 3. He was so kind and helpful (it was our first time cruising). Our second guy I don't remember, he was good, but I think Tawanda spoiled us.

We also had Mike who was nice, but again, Tawanda was better

I am actually really excited to hear that Marco from Palo is moving to concierge, we requested him @ Palo on the Wonder and he is so nice...a really good guy.

We had Alice and Lynda was her stand by. I wasn't impressed with either.

We just got back from the 6 night Western Caribbean Cruise on the Magic. Tawanda was our concierge there. He was fantastic to us. Especially the kids.

I was juuuuust going to chime in that Tawanda is on the Magic but you beat me to it! LOL! We had him on the 1/18 8-night. If you ever are lucky enough to get Tawanda on any ship, you're in for a treat!

We just got off January 14th Wonder.....room 8032 and 8034, I felt our concierge was jus ok, we asked very little of him.....and if we didn"t ask, we didn't get, period. After getting acclimated to our room, we called him with three requests (and expressed that it could be anytime), 1. to exchange the Coke for diet coke/diet sprite, 2. that one of our wave phones wasn't working (it totally shut down and wouldn't come back on), and if there would be any way to hook up our Ipod to the bose system.
His response, "I am still dealing with guests checking in, (yeah, we anticipated that and that is why I prefaced my request with "when you are able, there is no rush"), I will get the soda, but realize you are supposed to be charged, but I will get this one for free for you, after that if you want more you will have to pay", (seriously!!!, to swap what we have????), and yes, he would get the connector for the IPOD when he had a chance.
Everytime we spoke with him, for whatever, we had to listen to some underlying explanation of why his job was challenging.
It just bugged me!! We own our own business, I expect glowing customer service with a smile....not some underlying excuse.
I still tipped him quite well, but rated him the way I beleived he performed on the survey. Oh well....we will be back in the Walt Suite next year, we'll see how it goes then.

Was Tawanda on the port or starboard side? Or does that matter? First time in concierge on disney in April and seems like it will be amazing if we have him.
