Fort Wilderness - which loop to request and how likely to get it?

We are starting to plan our next trip for Spring 2015 for DS's 5th birthday. We recently bought a camper and will be driving from SC and staying at FW for the first time (last time we stayed in BLT). We plan to rent a golf cart to make transportation easier (we have 3 small kids, so it's extra important for us) but I was wondering whether the 100 or 200 loops were close enough to the Marina to easily walk and get the boat to MK (we will probably be going there a lot) or if we would need to take a golf cart anyway. Also, how likely is it to get a requested loop and how can I increase my odds?

Always have

We have always gotten our requested loop. Both 100 and 200 loops are easy walks to the Marina but to ensure easy walk, I would request the 100 loop. In 5 trips we have made the request and have gotten in the 100 loop all 5 times.

So it sounds like 100 is a great loop? Do I need to book a "premium" spot? Also, do you just request at booking or do you call or what? Thanks!
