First cruise ever!
Excellent! Thanks for starting this thread - I tried to, but was obviously unsuccessful!
I'll be traveling with my husband (celebrating our 10th anniversary), my mom, and our 3 kids: daughter will be 9, one son 7, and other 4. Kids clubs - here we come! -Tricia |

Yea! I'm not alone
! I'm going to have to figure out the kids clubs, too. The last time we went dd was only 3 and stayed with us the whole time. I'm sure that this time (she's 8) she'll want to ditch us and play with the other kids! Your kids are close to mine in ages. DD will be one month short of 9 and DS will be 5.

Hello!
Just (re)booked today, after the kids decide to bail on wanting to visit Disneyland in leiu of another cruise. It'll be me, DH, and our three DDs, who will be 12, 10, and 8 this time around. We're all very excited to be cruising again!

Welcome! We toyed with the idea of Disneyland instead of the cruise but the cruise won. It is much cheaper for us (no airfare). Now if October would just hurry up and get here!

The airfare was a big factor for us, too. We live in Orlando, so the trip to the port is an easy one. We left the house at 9:30 before our last cruise, and were in Cabanas at 11:45. So convenient! (and delicious!)
The cost to fly to California was around $2500. We talked to our girls about what they'd prefer to do (they kept talking about the cruise, even now), and it was an easy decision for them .. California will be there later, and we can always do that another time. I can't wait for October ... Our last cruise, we randomly got seated at dinner with other disboarders! DH and I are worried our good luck with tablemates won't hold twice. Either way, we'll have a great time. We're already planning to rebook for the Fantasy while we're onboard.

We're in Central Florida, too!!! I love being able to be home before lunch after the trip! I'm hoping they pull out some Florida Resident discounts as we get closer We tell the kid this week and I can't wait. They are going to FLIP!!!! DD has been skipping jeans day at school (she can pay $1 and wear jeans to school on Friday's) and saving her $1 to go on a cruise. She has a whopping $9 saved ! I think every wish she's made in the last 6 months has been to go on a cruise.

lol! I love that she's been saving her money for a cruise! When we were on the Dream last year, all three girls decided to tell us that they wanted to cruise as a group birthday thing .. But don't worry, we can go on a three day to help out! Talk about a facepalm moment. But, I guess they're still getting their wish ... And I'm still on the hook for birthdays!

Well, the cat is out of the bag in our house! We told the kids today (or more specifically the leprechauns left clues that told the kids
)! They are super excited. DD keeps muttering "best...day...ever" under her breath. I told her that October 21 was going to be better !

Welcome, Doodle Mom! We took our first Disney cruise last November. We loved it so much we decided to rebook onboard and go again this October! You're going to have a great time.
jcuzzort, I'm glad the surprise went well! My kids told me that next time I need to keep it a secret because they can't handle the wait. Neither can I!
