Hmmmmmmm

Not sure what I think about the pre-trip report section. Didn't know this was in the works and was a bit surprised to see it created. Oh well.

The Greece book arrived in the mail and I have to agree!! It's awesome!! I'll try to take and post some pics of it this weekend. My work schedule is crazy this week!

Oh...my new sewing machine arrives tomorrow!!!

Almost couldn't find this. Yeah for the new sewing machine!!! It's almost as if you're working full time...just not all at the same place...keeps it interesting.

With all the orientation I am essentially working full time!

The sewing machine is out for delivery! Wait till I tell you the story behind it!

Mindy got the whole dramatic story, but here's the gist: employee 1at closest store failed to find my machine an passed it off as "can't get it, sorry". Employee 2 at store 150 miles away had machine (after I calle around looking for it...he had 4!!!) and UPS'ed overnight to my house. I would have been happy with inter store transfer! Owner got an email request to call me and got an earful about my experience. I ended up with a class on my new machine and a $50 gift card. Wasn't looking for extras, but I certainly won't turn them down! I guess I expect the Disney touch everywhere...

So, the Rome book I ordered came in yesterday and it is equally as awesome! I need to take some pics Of both and post them. Can't do it now...at another swim meet! what a week!

The downfall with all the work I've been doing is that the Spanish stuff has been put on the back burner . And, the week I was going to send Ashleigh to Spanish camp has to be scrapped. Sean's likely going to a conference in Denver, and ash and I will go out for the awards dinner. Sean will never mention it, but he got a big award at work. Too bad there's not any $$ attached to it, tho....School will be out soon, though, and that'll give us more hours in the day to learn stuff! There is a possibility I could send her to a week of French camp. Might be nice to have an exposure to another culture....

Pictures!!

As promised, I finally got around to taking pictures of the Rome and Greece books I recently purchased (thanks again, Beth!!)!

I really think these are great learning tool for kids. Or for adults!!! There's tons of pics like these with text to accompany describing the area and what went on there.

Great books ...

My wife basically grew up in Greece here parents were fresh off the boat and all her family is still there. They would spend 3 months a year their every year during school break. If there is any info you want on Athens I can sure ask her for some answers ...

Been reading the Rick Stevens book and there is so much info I am trying to absorb it all ...

next summer cant come fast enough!

This book looks amazing. Do you have a link for it? I'd love to find the one on Pompeii for my kids. (And if you had the link earlier, I apologize for missing it.)

Thank you! I just ordered the one on Rome for my girls' birthday. The Pompeii one is only available from Amazon used, so I'll just keep my eyes on it. I may break down and get it used.

I ordered both used. The Rome was in better condition than the Greece one, but neither were bad.
