7:45am- sunny and 76 degrees. Beautiful morning in Tucson!

Supposed to go to 98 later today, with thunderstorms in the afternoon. Yesterday, we got a lot of rain. The monsoons are still very active!

Tuesday, I went to the Phoenix Zoo with both daughters and the grandkids. It was HOT and very HUMID! I don't think I've ever felt the humidity in Phoenix like we did on Tuesday. Luckily, we got there early in the morning (the zoo closes at 2 in the summer because of the heat) and the day was overcast. The grandkids had a great time playing in the water zones!

Thumper_Man- I hope you and your wife have a wonderful time at Disneyland!!

I helped my cousin move from his home in west Texas (hot and dry) to his dorm room in southeast Texas (hot and humid). Poor guy asked me if it was always that hot and humid there. I told him that it wasn't, eventually December and January would roll around and it would be cool and humid.

We've had a nice cool front blow through central Texas this week and temps have only been in the low 90s. Right now, in fact, it is only 85º. I have given up hope that we will ever have a real rainstorm again, though.

I can give Kar's weather report today. It's been hot, but still having fun at Disneyland. Been in the mid 90's most of the week from what we can tell. Here 2 more days before heading back home.

11:41 am and its already 84 degrees. Accuweather says it feels like 97 already.

P.S. Sorry we missed you Kar. Maybe next trip we can try again.

It's about 90 here in Cincinnati at 1:25 p.m. Our sunny skies have been steadily turning cloudy as the remnants of Isaac are starting to head our way. We could sure use the rain.

YEAH YEAH YEAH, MIKE!!! Hope you are having a fabulous vacation! The weather has been amazing. Much better than all that marine layer crap last summer in San Diego.

Yes, DH and I have been traveling quite a bit. Got home and then Brett left again for Denver. He got back yesterday and we had ANGELS/RED SOX tickets.

Hey LUV, what's up with the SOX … their whole body language last night was basically a real downer … they do not even seem like a TEAM. I think they so need to wrap this season up, take the Winter to refocus, come back in the Spring ready to play ball.

Yes, much better weather this year than last year. Spent some time by the pool to help cool off. Water rides were a big help to.

Honestly, we weren't around to feel the earthquake. We drove down to San Diego to make up our Sea World day from last year. Tell you all about it in the report. So we missed the earthquake thankfully.

8:11 pm and currently 85 degrees at DCA. Waiting for World of Color to start.

I'll tell you what I think...check out Carter's baseball cap. We had to trade in the Sox for the Diamondbacks. Okay, he still wears his Red Sox caps, but yeah, I know what you mean!


We just got back from spending a few days up in Phoenix. Talk about HOT! We had to come back to Tucson to cool off! Still in the 100s here in Southern Arizona. It'll be awhile before fall weather hits our neck of the woods.
