I also posted this on the restaurant board, but thought some of you Poly experts might be able to help..

We ate at 'Ohana for the first time last December and absolutely fell in love with the banana bread pudding.

We are returning this January and are wondering if there is any way to pay for just the bread pudding to-go? Or is it possible to order it at Kona Cafe for dessert instead? While we loved the food at 'Ohana, we are light eaters and not sure that the dinner price was worth it for us... but we would hate to miss out on that bread pudding!

Thanks for any info.

It isn't banana bread pudding? It has pineapple in it. I don't believe you can get anything separate from Ohana to go?

Actually, it is banana. Perhaps this has changed since you last went.

Can anyone else confirm/deny?

It is definitely banana foster bread pudding. I believe I have read 'Ohana doesn't do take out orders.

I can agree with you on that one! My husband and I had dinner at Ohana for the first time last year and while we loved it, it was WAY too much food for both of us, it was enough to feed 4 people! We decided to skip dinner there this year. Unfortunately Ohana does not do take out orders and Kona does not have Banana Bread Pudding. I will say that was the best Banana Bread Pudding I have ever had!!

ps- where can I find the signature countdown tickers <noob>
I don't think we can post a link for Tikiman's site here, but the info is in his "Resort News" article dated April 27, 2012.

Carlnix also listed some of the stuff here in this post while he was at the Poly in June http://www.disboards.com/showpost.ph...postcount=2529
It's pretty much the same as what Tikiman has reported ...

The rooms will be getting "refreshed" probably starting sometime in the new year, as they do every 6 or 8 years or so? (I don't know the exact interval, but it's routine). Any "big" work, ie. the GCH wouldn't be started for a while. I've read they don't have official approval (ie. permits) for that yet and that they would be further along with the GF DVC build first. So probably several years before GCH/Poly DVC is well underway.

Tikiman has posted some pictures on his FB page of stuff from the test rooms for the room refurbs.

The hot tub stuff I just posted for Jess few days ago (you probably saw the post). That was announced by Tikiman and seconded by Carl's source.

The bread they give you at the beginning of the meal has pineapple ... maybe he did get something confused?

When all else fails, Google!!!! I found the recipe and actually the bread pudding does NOT contain Bananas OR Pineapple!!!! It's the Banana Foster sauce that contains the Banana slices.

He probably got it confused with the Pineapple Bread, which is also really. All this talk about Ohana is making me hungry!

Yes, it is just bread pudding until they pour the banana foster sauce over it...and turn it into a heavenly delight!

Does anyone know how much Valet Parking is? We plan to check-in and then not use our car again until we check-out. We will be there for 5 nights. Is there a daily fee for Valet Parking, or just and "In" and "Out" type charge?
TIA
