If I understand correctly, one adult could accompany a child to one class while another accompanies a different child to a second class, but only one of the adults will qualify for the discounted ticket price.
Thank you so much for the info!

This all seems like rumor and speculation to me. Before we freak out thinking that our vacation plans are ruined, let's just wait and see what happens when the tickets go on sale. I don't see the logic in Disney excluding one parent from the discounted tickets. It makes no sense to me when they allow siblings to get discounted tickets, even if they don't attend a class. I've seen countless times on these boards that someone talks to a CM and gets wrong information. They post what they think is accurate, only to find out later that another CM said something different. The YES program has been of great value to Disney and to families for many years; why would they change it at this point and only allow one parent to purchase discounted tickets?

They only started offering the individual and homeschool courses to families a couple of years ago. So it is a work in progress unfortunately affected by liars and cheaters. So keeping the program might or might not really benefit the bottom line.

So, yes I agree it is speculations he information being out out by the yes staff seems far more accurate than other cms. I know we have a backup plan.

Ready to see how this is going to work. We would like the two little ones to take a class and hopefully we can all get discounted tickets!

So what if a sibling is over whatever age Disney requires an "adult" ticket Any speculation on that?

YES has always considered a child to be anybody under 18, but the park ticket pricing is for 10+.

We are going to a class the 23rd as well (Wild by Nature) and I got a confirmation email about 1-2 weeks ago. It was document that I need to bring to the class. Maybe check your spam/junk folder?

Have a fun time, we can't wait!

You can just use your original confirmation and receipt. One should have a bar code on it. I think the final confirmation is more to tell you where to meet and when and numbers to call if something happens. You could also call and ask to have a confirmation sent.

ok I just talked to the facilitator of the YES program(Dave). He was hesitant to give details but did tell me the following:

* The ability to buy individual tickets for Jan/Feb class will be working on the website in about 1 week.(he said the website should actually be giving a message that says coming soon - I told him I was not seeing that message so he is going to check into it.)

* There is definately something changing with individual enrollment ticket prices in 2013. (he did say the homeschool days is the same program as last year)

Again he was hesitant to give details but did tell me this:

For this years classes the discounted tickets that you see on the website will be for children only(this will include any child in your party age 3-17)

There will be a ticket discount for parents but it will be a separate discount from what the child gets.

Also, when I asked point blank if at least the adult chaperon would get a discounted ticket similar to the childs his answer was "Sorry I can not give you those kind of details you will need to wait the week until the program is released"

I could tell he was uncomfortable telling me much so if we want more details we will probably have to wait one more week until the new individual enrollment program is released to have the whole picture. However, people should prepare themselves for the fact that they will pay more for adult tickets then they have paid through YES program in the past.
