New Year's Cards?
Got 3 in the mail today from friends. Not late Christmas cards, but cards that actually say "Happy New Year" and one with a family letter in it.
Must be another trend I missed.

New Years Cards (usually postcards) are traditional in Japan.
I'm going to be sending some late Christmas cards to folks I received from and didn't send to - but they'll probably get the same cards that everyone else did.

I was at a Hallmark store about 2 weeks before Christmas and saw several packages (different designs) of Happy New Year cards. I really debated on whether to send those OR Christmas cards.
I haven't received any Happy New Year cards. Did you get Happy New year cards from people who also sent you Christmas cards?

My grandfather told me he was sending New Year's cards, because when he went to the store, they were all that were there. that, and he could wait until he got all his Christmas cards, and only send them to those people

I did New Years cards because I didn't finish up my holiday cards in time. I really didn't give it much thought, the cards were blank inside so I just wrote some blurb about our family wishing your family a happy 2012 or something like that. I usually try to do photo cards every year in December but I didn't even have them ordered till the second week of December this year. |

A few friends started switching to the New Year's cards a couple years ago. Honestly I've been considering it as a way of making the holiday rush less brutal. I think Costco even has New Year's options in their photocards.

Standard for us here. You can send them throughout January wishing everone a Happy New Year. They don't send Christmas cards out before.
I'm used to it now but the first year was really strange. I send out CC to all my none French family and friends and then we are sending out this weekend the NY cards to all the rest

My mother switched to new year’s cards. She has always sent a family photo card but now the only time we are all together is Christmas. So instead of skipping the photo or sending a late christmas cards its now a new year’s card

I make my own cards so the week before Christmas I didn't get all my Christmas cards out so I switched the design to New Years! LOL.
